#8 STORMY SURGE (J. Graham) ML 8-1 had a rough time of it in his debut at Evangeline Downs, steadying early in a five-furlong race and then rallying to get second despite his troubled trip. Today he stretches out to two turns, and he is exceptionally well-bred for the task, especially on the dam side. The extra distance will allow him to compensate better should any trouble occur this time out, and new jockey James Graham will likely steer clear of anything major. Forgive the last one and be happy to get the morning line price.
