2009 Bad Man Contest

This contest tests your handicapping skills over the full NFL season. The concept is easy, you pick 5 games against the listed spread for the contest each week of the regular NFL season. You earn 1 point for each win, .5 points for a push and receive 0 points for each loss.

That's the easy part, the hard part is to be crowned Bad Man Champion at the end of the year. Many have tried but only a handful have done it. You'll have to defeat past champions on your way to the top. If you succeed you will earn the crown of Bad Man 2009 Champion.

The cost to enter varies depending on how you pay:

$105 via Pay Pal to cover transfer costs.

Pay Pal is the easiest and the quickest and I can receive your entry any time of the day.

The rules of the contest are very straight forward:

Usually on Tuesday evenings I will post the lines for the upcoming weeks games. I also e-mail it to you the same night. You need to have your selections e-mailed back to me at the special e-mail address before 11PM Eastern on Friday night. If there is a Thursday night game, the selection will be due on Wednesday night at 11PM Eastern. Once the lines are set, they do not change for contest reasons no matter what happens to the line after it is posted and sent.

All selections for every contestant will be posted on the Bad Man page on the site. Nothing is hidden and all selections are posted that are received. If you don't send your selections in before the deadline you will receive an 0-5 for the week.

Please note on week 1 that the selections may get posted right before kick off due to last minute entries.

At the end of the season the top 3 point earners will take home the money. First place will receive 50% of the prize pool, second place 30% and third place 20%. This has been the standard throughout all the years of the contest.

This is a fun contest and if you think about it, it only costs you about $6 a week. All prize money is returned out, I keep none of it unless I cash in the contest.
