These teams put up a tremendous amount of runs in Chi Town. The Sox have momentum, and Minnesota has a staff that has shown struggles away from home. Between these teams 9 of the last 11 have gone over, 5 of the last 6 in Chicago. Look for your classic all pitchers on deck in this one as these teams will score and do whatever it takes to win. I dont see a 2-1 game by any stretch. Danks vs. Blackburn. Again, Minnys staff is great at home but on the road, they leave you with a sick feeling. Blackburn is proof. The Sox avg. 2.5 RPG on the road. At home avg 8 RPG. Minnys pen has allowed at least 3 runs per game in all 3 Blackburn starts. Danks starts show the Twins scoring over 7 RPG at Min, but in Chicago under 5.5 RPG. Big difference both ways. This should clear 10 or 11 runs let alone 9.

No matter what people may think first hand, this game should not finish a one run contest. Out of 18 meetings this year between these teams only 3 of the 18 have finished a one run game. Out of the 3 one run games, all were in Minnesota, and the last 2 meetings were one run contests. The ones played in Chicago were 7 wins to 2 wins in favor of the Sox. Most were complete blowouts. Sox have won last 5 contests at home vs. Minny. Sox scored 66 runs at home on Minnesota while allowing only 47. Chicago averages 7+ while Minny averages 5. If they had been in Minnesota the story would be different as the Minny starters are much better on the home mound. After being swept in Minny the Sox will extract revenge tonight as they win by 2-3 runs. Lay the run and a half. 7-4 Chicago.
