Bet with caution Vandy will win this game outright... Vandy isnt a green as the "experts" say they are alot of juniors with game experience returning. I trust 5th year sr. qb chris nickson over miami oh qb raudabaugh (hes mistake prone and vandy always pressures the qb and throwing against one of the top secondarys in the sec thats not good)plus vandy will be able to move the ball with the spread option and nickson's mobility.I've focused on this game since the line came out,(phil steele and athlon and others didnt take the time to look at Vandy just that starters that arent coming back, if you look into last years stats and players and realize that vandy has alot coming back and alot of talent ,8 mr footballs in their respective states you've never heard of that are too short or too slow for major sec programs.)

Vandy has a chip on their shoulder they have seen that people have them projected as a 2-10 team, they need this game if they even want to sniff a bowl and they know that. Vandy coach Johnson has already called this game a Must Win! (A sec team even vandy being a 4 point dog to a M.A.C team they beat last year is a slap in the face and Vandy will be fired up)

Teaserpleaser:
One thing you are correct on is that Vandy has a great secondary.
Vandy's DL: Lost 5 players, granted they werent that good, but what makes you think they had better talent sitting the bench last year?
Vandy's LB's: The group is less experienced and less talented than last years.
So, they might stop the pass initially, but as soon as the RB's start tearing up the ground it will open up the passing lanes.
Here are my notes on the two teams, I am not trying to talk you out of playing Vandy, but I think there are better plays out there and you will more than likely be on the wrong side of the bet.
VANDY
Offense: It will be very tough for this group to score, especially once they enter conference play.
QB: 2.5, Unit will have depth. Nickeson & Adams return with starting exp.
RB: 2.5, Young and lack exp.
WR: 2.5, Lost some good players, have some exp. but talent level will be down this year.
OL: 0.5, VU has the least experienced O-line in the NCAA with returning players having 3 career starts.
Defense: Will give up a ton of pts., especially when the other team has a good mix of run and pass.
DL: 2.5, Group loses 5 players but, they only combined for a total of 6 sacks. Anything will be better.
LB: 2, Group is less experienced and less talented than last year.
DB: 4, Everyone is returning this year. Will be the best unit on this team.
Miami(OH)
Offense: Will likely be solid, not great, but should be able to score and control the clock.
QB: 3.5, Raudabaugh has some good exp. and they have a solid back-up.
RB: 3.5, Young, but, great potential with some fast talent.
WR: 4, The best 7 receivers return this year.
OL: 3.5, This year 3 starters are back and they have depth.
Defense: Exp., will limit teams with good offenses.
DL: 3.5, Return all but 2 and 7 have starting exp.
LB: 4.5, Everyone returns this year, MAC’s best.
DB: 4, This year 7 out of 8 are back, will be very solid against the pass

Thanks for the concern i hear you moneys already in have vanderbilt +4 and large teaser +17, bets have been in... somebodys wrong could be me I think vandy controls the line of scrimage miami is a passing team good luck with that against the vandy secondary. we'll see what happens if Chris Nickson is running the option healthy look out.

I am going against the grain on this one.
I have only one play tomorrow night.
1/2 unit on Miami -4.
Best of luck to all.

were did you get this write up? they couldnt even spell chris Nickson's name right so i know they didnt look into vandy that well. remember if S.E.C teams like south carolina have problems slowing the read option miami ohio is in trouble.
