Sorry Robyn I disagree ,Liddell Has the edge in almost most aspects . Rashad is a small 205lb alot of people think he should drop to 185lb .While Chuck Liddell is a big 205lb Liddell counter striking is going to give him problems . Rashads Stand up game has improved over the years but no where near Liddell stand up game . Rashad is a great wrestler but Liddell has great takedown defense and is a good wrestler also . I see Rashad maybe getting a few takedowns and Chuck getting up .R Couture is the only one ive seen keep Chuck down ,but Randy Couture has great Greco roman wrestling ( best style wrestling for MMA)made him able to fight Huge heavyweights as a small heavyweight.
Rashad does have the major cardio edge training with Greg Jackson but does not have the great leg kicks like his traing partner Keith Jardine to keep Liddell away.Chuck with the beer belly starts slowing down after 2 rounds but its a 3 rnd fight so that wont be a big factor . I see this fight being boring Rashad dancing around the octagon throwing a few punches looking for the takedown and Liddell defending takedowns and landing some punches If Rashad gets hurt i see him reaching or clinching Liddell against the cage . A Wrestler vs a counter striker isnt going to be exciting . I think Liddell wins via Decision.
I was really hoping Liddell was going to fight Muarcio Shogun Rua the fight that was planned for a few weeks ago that got canceled because of injuries .That would be a exciting fight.
