Default Royals vs. Twins

Royals vs. Twins

There are many reasons why we see many runs being scored today. One reason can be found in today's starting pitchers matchup (Kansas City Royals: Jorge De La Rosa - Minnesota Twins: Johan Santana).

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa has been a bad pitcher. He enters this game with a terrible 7.48 ERA on the season, and we can only expect the Twins to get their fair share of runs. In addition, two of Jorge De La Rosa's last three starts have gone over the posted the total.

As for the Twins, they will send to the mound Johan Santana. While Johan Santana might be an overall solid pitcher (3.01 ERA on the season), over the posted total has been the way to bet when he is on the mound. If fact, Johan Santana last two starts have went over the posted total, as well as four of his last six starts have also went over the posted total. To top it off, Johan Santana's last three starts against the Royals have all went over the posted total.

It's also good to note that the over is 25-14 when the Royals play in day games. To say the least, we should see at least nine combined runs scored today.

Play: Over 8.5

i feel the only way to have bet this game would be the twins.

i'm not a parlay type of guy at all, but i would consider the twins in a 2 teamer though.

Too bad the Twins offense is pathetic, it's a shame that they won't even cover the run line against De La Rosa.

KC has had their chances, but couldn't knock down the door.
