Default Bodog

Hi

I deposited money into a bodog account using my visa card

should I be worried, and I am an american. Recently how slow

are bodog payouts? And I am thinking about opening an account

at Wsex are they better, and I heard alot about matchbook. The

most important thing to me is if my money is safe, and my credit

card info. Should I be using my credit card for deposits? Help

please.

And I dont know if I should use wsex or matchbook or continue using bodog. I like fast payouts and I parlay on moneylines I bet maybe 3 times a week mostly NFL and NBA thanks.

I also dont like betting over the phone mostly computer I really just want a safe fastpayout book thanks

Sorry for all the questions.

bodog is ok yes they pay.i first used them when i started out bad part about them is waiting on lines to come out.lack of monleyine bets on all kinds of spreads, and sports.also i just recently heard they are cutting down on their bonusus.if your just a rec better that does not bet alot per game their ok for now.i tell you last time i saw that site they had a -120 line built into a 3point spread, crooks.
wsex is a way better site early lines or what they call overnight lines, and competitive.i use them for football action mostly.they can be deceiving though what im saying is the min bet they say for online is 10d but thats not what it actually is.say you have a bet you want to make on a -150 line you will find you must put up 15 to win 10.they do not tell you that over the phone.
i would suggest thegreek,or betonline they are good rated and i never had a problem.watch out though dont take the betonlines bonus offer at 6x rollover say you deposit 500 and they give you 100 or so as a bonus, you must wager that bonus all at the same time not increments like 25 at a time
hope this helps

You should be okay. I don't play there anymore, but they have paid me several times in the past. I love the poker over there. I may toss a few bucks to re-up the poker. The book is questionable. These guys aren't scammers.

I am amazed you were able to use a credit card at Bodog using a credit card (if you are a US citizen). If you want to cash out you will have to fax or mail them a copy of the card information and proof you are the card holder (check with Bodog for verification requirements a few weeks ahead of requesting a payout!).

Bodog payouts usually take a month to get to you by regular mail (check). Or you can request a check by courier (there is a fee if you want to do this).

Bodog is safe for Rec. players, but the lines are slow to post and you may be subjected to dual lines.

An A- book at best.

GL.

I don't think you would have a problem at all there.

I personally wouldn't play at Bodog myself, because I don't really care for being dealt dual lines.

WSEX is a top notch sportsbook, and Matchbook is and exchange that offers a 2% commission instead of a standard 10% vig.

I think the reason Jon is so surprised by you being able to use your credit card is, because nowadays most books CC processors reject like 99% of the transactions.

As far as fast payouts and easy navigated sites go. I would suggest either WSEX or TheGreek.

If they put a check on the back of a donkey and had it swim and walk a payout to you, it would get there faster than any method they presently use.

Most reputable credit cards do not allow on line book deposits for US depositors. I have not been allowed to deposit at Bodog (or any book) using my master card or visa for over 3 years now because the bank (A US bank) that owns the card has prohibited such deposits.

No concerns about your card, just surprise. If your bank allows you to deposit at online books using a credit card, then that is a plus for you (unless you pay an unusually large annual fee, insane cash deposit fees, or crazy interest fees for the card.)

Hi guys, checks by courior now only take about 3-5 days to recieve from Bodog. It used to be about a month when they were having processor issues, but it seems they have found some sort of solution. The last 3 checks i have requested in the past month have all arrived via fed ex within 3-5 days from the day i requested it. As far as checks via regular mail i cannot comment as i have never requested one through regular mail. Hope this helps

Vig is short for vigorish (or another term for "juice"): what the book charges you for placing a bet (eg. -105 versus -110 at another book) there.

----------------------------
"For example: This example assumes odds of -110 (11 to win 10)
Bettor A risks $110 to win $100 on Side A, and Bettor B risks $110 to win $100 on Side B. The winner receives $210 from the sportsbook, and the loser receives nothing. The sportsbook made $10 on this transaction. The total amount booked is $220. The total amount paid is $210 ($220 - $210 = $10). The vigorish cost for this hypothetical wager is 4.55%. This is because $10 is 4.55% of $220. Had the bettors bypassed the sportsbook and bet against each other then there would be no vigorish fee. The winner would receive the entire $220."

Source:http://www.smartcapper.com/article_vigorish.html
--------------------

Also Matchbook is a betting "exchange" where you place a bet and the book charges a "commission" for that service. The commissions at Matchbook are better than a standard book vig because it is a flat rate, versus the books altering the vig to their liking. A minor problem with Matchbook is that I don't see a way of making parlay or teaser bets there (probably a good thing.)

I may be wrong here - please correct if so.

There are a number of low vig or low "juice" books out there, but be sure to research the stability and reliability of those books before depositing there because a lot of them are scam books.

At Bodog you are paying more on the vig, but the book is a stable book regardless of their other problems (dual and late lines, slow payouts and adequate customer service at best)

As for your card, Capital One appears to be a decent bank, but something is still strange that Capital One will allow on line sportsbook deposits at Bodog. If you can do it, more power to you as long as Bodog accepts the card as legit when you send them the verification info that Bodog requires.

If you can use the card at WSEX or Matchbook, and your card is legit, I don't see any problems - but you will likely have to verify the card with those books as well. Also, if the books deem the card to be a fraud, then they can (and will) take away your deposit and winnings.

GL.
