I haven't seen it personally. Not winning big enough. But I read that Bowman's is one that's doing it.

You mean books which give different lines to different people? If that's the case, then Bodog do it. In fact they advertise the fact.

Something that isn't obvious to many customers is the way some online casinos set the odds. Calvin Ayre, founder of Bodog.com, one of the world's biggest sports books, says that computers at his Costa Rican site identify each bettor and then personalize the odds. Such player profiling cannot occur in the legal sports books in Las Vegas because those casinos publish their lines in newspapers. Ayre says the individual odds are nothing more than a high-tech version of the traditional bookie's practice of taking advantage of, say, a Philadelphian's emotional tendency to bet on the Eagles. "They have the choice to take our offer or the other side," or to go to another site, Ayre says.

I guess that's one way to get rid of winners.

Almost easier to name those that don't do this.
Of the featured books up top:
Bodog
Bowmans
VIP (and all the VIP owned books)
Others:
VO Group (BeverlyHillsBookie.com, MVPSportsbook.com, etc)
Tradeswinds
Betmaker
First Fidelity
Royal (although not sure about currently)
BetUS
Oasis
Nine/MyBookie/GrandCentral

This may be a little off topic but:
"in the legal sports books in Las Vegas because those casinos publish their lines in newspapers. "
Does this mean that once the odds are published (in the newspaper), the casino cannot change them till game time? Wouldn't this lead to a lot of arbitrage opportunities once the line starts moving one way?

It means Ayre was misquoted or he isn't too informed. Whether odds are published in newspapers or not, does not mean that they won't change based on action. More likely he means that odds for most of the bigger events are usually posted on a board, generally electronic, so is tougher to profile as everyone can see the odds.
I am not that experienced betting in Vegas, have only had couple trips, but it is not uncommon for them to profile by offering very low limits to some players and not others. I don't know if they are allowed to profile the lines based on players when they ask for lines or not, they certainly manipulate limits.
But you are right to pick up that the newspaper comment makes no sense.

so do they give you one set of lines when you first start playing and then another set if you start winning...or is it based on more against what you play...

I will go out of my way to avoid books that give dual lines and books that are notorious for cutting limits. You couldn't pay me to play at Bodog. Stick with CRIS, Pinnacle, and Olympic and you'll never go wrong!

Some people get sharp lines day one as they have been profiled and the book has a record on them. Others will get sharp lines on their betting habits. If a player bets lots of steam and is beating the book to the number the player will get sharp lines and may have his limits cut or get booted.
