Default Top 10 Books for Soccer?

Few US-serving bookies have a huge soccer selection so I'd like to know who our Euro-players would choose if you had to use only 10 shops.

I'm assuming Pinnacle, Pointbet, 365, 10bet and Betfair will be consensus picks. Who else?

10bet?? I dont think so really ... they are too new to even have a rep and pretend they are based in England but are actually in Israel (the home of so many scam casinos and the like).

Pointbet are good with their prices and have a solid rep but are in Indonesia, Pinnacle have all the withdrawal hassles.

Betfair for the exchanges and bet365, Hills, Coral, Expect (Swedish), Interwetten (Austrian), Ladbrokes. I think they are safe enough.

Interesting natrass. You have some inside information on 10bet?

I wen't to look at their page and found their address and phone number which are both in UK:

Address 1 Ballards Lane, N31LQ, London UK
Phones: ++44(0)845-658-6010
Fax: ++44(0)870-751-8588

IP trace comes up with:

Location information for 217.205.136.249 (default)
217.204.000.000 - 217.207.255.255
United Kingdom

Also they are a member of IBAS, which as far as i know, licenses only UK bookmakers. I've also heard the owners are Israeli, but sure looks like they operate From the UK legally. Also, i've heard many good things about them from fellow punters.

Thanks Natrass. I should have been clearer with my question as I was forecasting what I thought our soccer posters would say in regards to lines and offers.

I agree with you that Pointbet's location puts their players at risk and that 10Bet has not stood the test of time. I can say that both books' lines on foreign sports are respected and watched closely by A rated US-serving bookmakers.

We have talked with 10Bet's ownership quite a bit recently in preparation for their evaluation. They have invited us to their UK office. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to show our readers what their office looks like.

I may stand corrected on the 10bet scenario. I can only go from what I have read and it seemed common knowledge that they were Israeli owned and operated (and for example their website is available in Hebrew I believe, which would be some stretch for a regular UK bookie to go to for a very minor market)... I must confess I have no personal factual knowledge one way or the other. but as a punter based in England their market is not the normal for UK bookies and the only link seems to be their bankers adress, etc. I can't comment on how stringent IBAS are with regards to licencing.

They do seem confident though ... good website, heavy advertising and original lines which come out quicker than most ... but I have never actually heard of anyone playing there yet. Sorry for jumping in stating hearsay as fact.

As for soccer books in general, I think the split goes something like this :

UK bettors : bet365, WHill, Coral, Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, betfair, Paddy power

European : Gamebookers, Interwetten, Expect, globet, betandwin, Eurobet

International : Pointbet, Pinnacle,

Thats among others.

Linewise I would say Pointbet and Pinny. Pointbet seems to have higher limits in asian handicaps and totals. I personally like Unibet as well. Of course Betfair, betbull/betdaq (Same stuff) and Redbet of the exchanges.

Juuso, I have a question for you. Do you play at Paf? Paf is a Finnish (well Ålandish really) bookie, which has a rather small offer of events and rather high juice. But one thing that makes them special, is that I have never seen or heard of them voiding a bet. And believe me, they have had some weird lines. Here is an example.

My brother was a rookie bettor about a year ago and he noticed Paf had some very nice odds on Swedish allsvenskan hockey. He made his bets and later figured that the odds were nice, because all 6 of the matches had the same odds. That had to be an accident, but Paf honored each and every one of the bets, even if they noticed the error and adjusted the lines several hours before the matches started.

I played some bets there as my first online bookie about 5-6 years ago, when they launched. I haven't got much of experience with them and what they're offering now. I decided to move to Centrebet after a friend of mine recommended it. Played there for years as i like a lot of NBA, NHL and some baseball bets along with the usual soccer. They had very good selection 5 years ago and still do.

I've also played with Expekt, Unibet, Nordicbet, Bet365. All very solid shops for soccer and most of them have good selection on some more rare stuff, like nordic winter sports and such. On US books i've Played at Cris with the Prick money
Great selection of events and props on US leagues and great customer service, but the odds are not the greatest.

Nowdays, i prefer Pointbet and Pinnacle for the reduced juice in games. My bank is quite big, so the better odds adds up quite a lot in the long run.

Pinny covers all the european leagues, and most second divisions also. You need em, same as for all other sports

Good list Laker. We could even add SJ, Easybets and Pointbet to the US list since they will put up with us Americanos =).
