Scary bet - but I think England has something to prove... Even if Ecuador beat Argentina AND Brazil in Quito in qualifying. Ecuador got destroyed by Germany and will come out and try to win, but England is way too physical and big... And fast enough to win. Plus, Englands D is more physical than any team they've seen so far. I don't see Ecuador holding up to Ferdinand - or Campbell (if the guy plays - sheesh he should). South American teams with moderate to good talent up front, generally, get dominated by big defense... But that is my brain thinking, no stats to back it up. Poland was Ecuador's big upset, and they are smallish and slow at the back by comparison. I really see no upset here. Ecuador is a team I've supported the whole way - they play complete team ball... I just think they don't have enough 'pop' to create chances in the midfield. Speed and being undersized, IMO, plays into England's hands. I hope I'm wrong as a fan, they've been a ton of fun to watch, but as a bettor, I'd be crazy to take their juicy odds, I hope:>.
