Bad luck for Brasil. They dominated the entire first half. Got as close as a shot against the inside post. Germany came out strong in the second half and got a goal that the goalie should have stopped. Brasil then was awarded a penalty that would have tied the game, but Marta missed it. After that, Brasil pretty much lost their heads. They started playing like individual players instead of a team. A late German goal put the game out of reach. Experience won out over talent, discipline over artistry, and luck over bad luck.
