Default Vreston's "No Risk, No gain" Weekend

Ok guys, here we go for another weekend of European Soccer.

Now I gave it some thought and I’m gonna go with some high paying games if they hit. I’ll give the reasoning behind why I chose these games.
Now bear in mind that in sports betting, as you all know, nothing is for sure so maybe none of these will be winners, but if they are, then we’re in for a party.

I missed a lot of the games for today and Saturday. But I’ll put up what I have left.

    Sunday March 7

    Italy Serie A
    Cagliari-Catania
    Pick: Catania @ 3.90 (with a cover on a draw @ 3.25)
    Time: 4:00pm GMT+2

Cagliari is not interested in playing in Europe next year (I mean they won’t qualify for UEFA or Champion’s League). Catania showed they mean business against Bari. They’re only one point away from the danger zone (which leads to a lower division next year). They need the win more. I’ll take Catania and a cover on the draw.

    Spain Primera Division
    Espaniol-Villareal
    Pick: Villareal @ 2.90
    Time: 6:00pm GMT+2

I don’t see why Espaniol should be favorites in this game. They haven’t been playing all that special anyway. They don’t make you trust them so why put your money on them? Now I’m not saying this game will not finish with Espaniol winning 2-0. BUT Villareal is starting to roll (it’s about time) and I’m starting to trust them on defense.

    Greek Superleague
    Iraklis – Olympiakos
    Pick: Iraklis @ (with a cover on a draw @ )
    Time: 7:00pm GMT+2

Iraklis is undefeated at home in 2010 (2 dwins – 3 draws). Some of the best teams in the league haven’t left there with a win this year and Olympiakos will in the condition they are in? It’s possible, but I think this is a good a time as any to bet they won’t. Refs play a big part in the games unfortunately so you can never be sure. Olympiakos is out of form. They haven’t been doing well and have been ousted from first place. There has been a lot of complaining in the locker room and the relationship with the coach is far from good.
I think it’s worth a shot. And another note, Iraklis won as a visitor last week with a score of 0-4 and surprised a lot of people including me!

Again, bear in mind that these are not "sure" plays by any means. That's why they have such great odds!

I think 2.9 for Villa is worth a shot especially after they scored away to Madrid and the fact that they usually keep it tight with Espanyol.

Interesting obs hope you hit BOL.

I'm sorry everybody, but I forgot to post the odds for the Iraklis-Olympiakos game.

The game is still under way and is 1-0 at halftime.

    The odds were:
    Iraklis @ 5.65
    Draw @ 3.50

    Thanks for the positive comments!
There are a LOT of games every weekend! But soccer can be the end of your bankroll if you're not careful. These are risky bets, that's why they pay so well. But if you look carefully at all the games going on all weekend you may be able to single out 5-7 games like this worth betting on and then maybe even narrow them down.

    So here's how we did:

    Italy Serie A
    Cagliari-Catania
    Pick: Catania @ 3.90 (with a cover on a draw @ 3.25) - Won (2-2)
If you took the cover on the draw you had a great payout @ 3.25 odds!

    Spain Primera Division
    Espaniol-Villareal
    Pick: Villareal @ 2.90 - Loss (0-0)

    Greek Superleague
    Iraklis – Olympiakos
    Pick: Iraklis @ (with a cover on a draw @ ) - Won (1-0)
This one gave us a GREAT payout @ 5.65 odds!

    Default Sunday March 14 games

For another weekend I have found the time to do some "studying" and I'm going to post my picks.

It's already late Saturday evening over here and I had to work so I couldn't post a lot of the plays I had for Saturday. Too bad. I had some good ones from what I see from the scoreboard. I'll just put up what I have from now until the rest of the weekend.

    Here we go!

The home teams are listed first
All my odds are taken from bet365.

All times are GMT +2 (That's 2 hours ahead of London)

    Sunday March 14, 2010

    Greece - Superleague

    Levadiakos - Xanthi
    Pick: Levadiakos @ 2.10
    Time: 2:30 pm

This is a do or die situation for both teams. They are both in the danger zone and they both need the points badly. Levadiakos has proven they can manage in games like this when their life is on the line. I'll take them with those odds even though it's a dangerous game. Xanthi hasn't shown me much this year and they belong where they are now.

    Italy Serie A

    Bologna v Sampdoria
    Pick: X (draw) @ 3.00
    Time: 4:00 pm

    Genoa - Cagliari
    Pick: Genoa @ 1.80
    Time: 4:00pm

    England - Barclays Premier League

    Sunderland - Manchester City
Pick: Manchester City @ 2.25 (with a cover on the draw @ 3.20)
    Time: 6:00 pm

    Spain - Primera Liga

    Almeria v Malaga
    Pick: Over 2.5 @ 2.10
    Time: 6:00

    Valladolid v Real Madrid
    Pick: Over 3 goals @ 2.25
    Time: 10 pm

    France - Le Championnat

    Toulouse v Marseille
    Pick: Marseille @ 2.15
    Time: 10 pm

These are some pretty good odds so tail at your own risk!
    BOL to everybody!

I wish I could’ve posted last week, but even though I took the time to do my homework and pick my games I had to work most of the weekend so I didn’t have any time to post. Too bad because I had some good winners picked out. The worst part was that I didn’t play them myself.
That’s history though. Lets move on to this weekend’s action.
As usual I’ve separated some games from the huge list this weekend hoping we cash on some of these attractive odds.

All my odds are taken from bet365.

    Sunday March 28

    Regina – Torino
    Pick: Draw @ 2.80
    Time: 11:30am GMT

    Livorno – Bari
    Pick: Bari @ 3.00
    Time: 2pm GMT

    France – Le Championnat
(I don’t usually make so many picks in the French league.)

    Le Mans – Rennes
    Pick: Rennes @ 2.50 (With a cover on the draw @ 3.00)
    Time: 4pm GMT
Rennes needs this game to put them in the race for European play. They’re also hot having won three in a row.

    Lorient – St. Etienne
Pick: St. Etiennes @ 4.33 (With a cover on the draw @ 3.10)
    Time 4pm GMT

    Nancy – Lens
    Pick: Draw @ 3.10
    Time: 4pm GMT

    Toulouse – Nice
    Pick: Draw @ 3.40
    Time: 4pm GMT

    Spain - Primera Liga
    Espanyol – Sporting Gijon
    Pick: Espaniol @ 1.90
    Time: 4pm GMT

    Real Madrid – Athletico Madrid
    Pick: Over 3.5, 4 goals @ 2.11
    Time: 8pm GMT

Real has been a goal scoring machine lately and I’m gonna take them till the balloon pops. These two teams scored 5 goals in their first round game this year.

    Greece - Superleague

    Kavala - Ergotelis
    Time: Kavala @ 2.50
    Time: 5pm GMT
Kavala is having a great year and they are 6th. Ergotelis really needs the points but I don't think Kavala will do them the favor. Great odds. I just hope nothing goes on behind the scenes because Kavala is a much better team.

As usual, they don’t give odds like these for no reason so tail at your own risk!

Unfortunately the phones in my area were out of order earlier today so I couldn't log on to the internet to post Saturday's picks. I had to delete all of them.
