Hello fixxer. First I want to state that I'm a huge Premier League fan - just for the record.

However I think this is one of the big myths of modern football. Perhaps it's more common in the leagues of southern Europe to do small things to waste time, but the big divers are everywhere now. Look at Gerrard, Torres, Drogba, formerly Ronaldo, Ashley Young, Rooney. All big players that dive. The list can be made long and it's easy to find on the YouTube.

Last night's game did incense me as well because I think Inter behaved badly, but how the English have managed to keep this reputation as being fair is beyond me.

There is divers everywhere. I think the common thinking that only Italians dive is not true. People think this way because Italian football has been (was, I say was because their game plan has changed during last decade drastically) nothing much to watch for untrained eye - to see beauty in excellent defense is not that everybody can achieve. This made the game boring for those and people did not like them. What happened - they got their fourth star on the Jersey. THis even got the tings worse for the Italian haters. I know many people who don´t care who will win as long as it´s not Italy.

i was just thinking this same thing last night. what is the square yardage of the pitch? i've seen so many games recently i can't remember which it was, but a guy was attacking and got taken down right before the half about 5 yards from the goal and the ref didn't call a foul. and on the highlight, you can see the ref is like 50 yards away and couldn't see if there was contact or not.

seriously, if the NHL has 4 refs on an rink, why can't Futbol get a 2nd ref and each could patrol one side of the pitch.

of course criminal elements would have to pay another guy off to fix matches, but so be it.
