AFC League
Asian champions league games today, lets see if anything is on offer.
Pick your winners, lets have some fun
First game of the day.
Adelaide (Aus) - Pohang Steelers (Kor)
Adelaide finished bottom of the league, had an awful season, Steelers have been gold the last few seasons but now are without the coach that bought them the glory. Last season Adelaide beat them twice. Steelers don't have much match practice. This one could swing either way.

Wilforth it looks like a terrible competition but there is always value to be found, lets find teams with good managers.
Bundyokar has Scholari
Al Hilal has Gerets
Al Ahli has ex Steelers manager
Scholari's team smoked whoever they played.
Gerets team are on fire, they could win today in their game.
Al Ahli may be onto something.
Also look for the games were a Japanease, Korean, Australian or one of the teams with a good manager or one of the ok Arab teams play teams from China, Indonesia, Malaysia or any other far eastern country around there. Its usually a huge quality difference.

Adelaide has the value, Steelers are rusty, new manager, new players, playing a game in Australia in the heat.
+120 Adelaide DNB. Taking the worst Australian side against one of the best Korean side, doesn't look a good idea on paper but I've seen Steelers play and they are physically very weak. If Adelaide plays aggressive they could dominate this team.

Second game
Hiroshima (Jpn)-Shandong Luneng (Chn)
Japanese team at home against Chinese team, blindly taking the Jap side or the Under Big difference between quality of the two countries football, Chinese side will sit back and hope for a draw most likely

Let's get the info in guys, these games look ridiculous and most of them are just tragic to watch but the books today are focusing on the Champions League, Serie A, Fa Cup and other big European competitions. There will be value lying around, need to get our capping hats on.
Let's see how the SBR Asian CL project goes, will it crash and burn or be a gold mine...

I'm on Juan Aurich aswel, the Bolivian teams this season are so bad its unreal and they never travel well.
Also look at the 3 Brazil teams aswel, finally we'll have some real attacking talent, world class strikers tomorrow against shaky defenses.
Juan Aurich and the Brazil teams in a ML parlay also looks good.

Singapore side against a Chinese side, Singapore league is at the same or a higher standard than the Chinese, might be worth a long shot

Adelaide United cannot afford to play defensively in its opening home ACL fixture against Pohang Steelers according to Adelaide United interim head coach for the Asian Champions League Joe Mullen.
The striking department has been a sore spot for the Reds this A-League season, managing only 24 goals in 27 games, five shy of next-worst North Queensland Fury.
United has attempted to rectify the issue by signing Brisbane Roar marksman Sergio van Dijk and the Argentinean import, creative playmaker Marcos Flores.
Van Dijk finished the season as the second highest goal scorer in the A-league, netting 13 times. The Dutchman will provide a strong target man for the Reds, and also someone who is clever on the ball.
also adelaide won the last 2 games of the season so they do have some momentum comin into this game.
i probably take adelaide +0.0/0.5. bol

Adelaide is sponsored by a low scale plumbing company in Australian and they've burned me twice in A-League. I know better by now than to bet on somebody with "Joe's Plumbing" on their kits

Something i did not know, Adelaide have found the one thing they have always struggled with, a striker and they have one of the best in the A-League if not the best, Serge Van Dyke.
I don't think this game will go over though.

I'll take a cheeky punt on that team from Singapore DNB, with low stakes. Should be fun.
This is a great thread but I don't think I can help out much.

Leckie is pretty gifted technically and i don't want his ability to go to waste. He needs to go to Europe soon. Worth a chance in the Australian squad, as is Joel Griffith.

Ok the next game up is
Al-Sadd (Qat)-Al-Hilal (Ksa)
Now I knew Gerets went to manage Al-Hilal and was surprised such a good manager would go there but hey the money must be good. Mr Gerets seems to have turned his side into an attacking monster, they have won their league already and can now focus on this cup which they have history in. Looking at his squad its actually ALOT better than you would think. They have Saudi legends, Al-Qahtani, Al-Deayea and a few internationals, then somehow they have attacking midfielder Thiago Neves playing there, the young Brazilian has been in the Copa Libertadores final, has 6 caps for Brazil! and has been linked with top clubs! he is on loan from Fluminense but is linked with Hamburg, Man City and Atletico Madrid, Hamburg may have a deal with this guy already. They also have the VERY experienced South Korean Lee Young-Pyo who played for PSV, Tottenham and has over 100 caps. They also have an experienced Romanian centre back.
They are playing Al-Sadd whose manager Cosmin Olăroiu was thrown out of this team. Al-Sadd team has nobody notable, Brazilian Felipe is the only semi-decent player.
This is a stab in the dark, we are going totally on what we have heard, our primitive pick also has the line steaming on it. Al-Hilal may be our team guys, at +130 it may be worth taking a chance.
Al-Hilal ML +130

COME ON SINGAPORE AIR FORCE! 0-0 in 89th minute!
Corners are 10-1 for Henan Jinaya. Haha.
I'll join you on Al-Hilal Karayilan! They also have Swedish player Christian Wilhelmsson (Bolton, Anderlecht, Nantes, brief periods in Roma and Deportivo who is admittedly not very good but should still be a good player in this match. Go Al-Hilal!

The Plumbers plugged some pootang and the Air Cadets survived a dog fight in China, so far our wins have been +120 and the Singapore game was something ridiculous.
Let's go Al-Hilal

I think we should be happy we got our money back on that one mate Everything I read suggest they were absolutely trashed but got away with an undeserved 0-0.
