    These picks may look goofy on the surface, but here are my justifications:

    Nancy (1H): Since 2000, Marseille hasn't shutout Nancy in 2 straight meetings. Marseille shutout Nancy on Nancy's home ground in their last meeting, which means it's highly likely Nancy could get on the score sheet today and they could do so in the 1H as they're catching a Marseille side that played a midweek Europa game in far away Denmark.

    Roma/Catania draw: An examination of Catania's road games against some of the top sides, shows they're capable of picking a point at Roma. On the road, Catania lost by a close 2-1 score against Inter, beat Juventus 2-1, and drew 1-1 at Sampdoria. Don't forget that this same Catania did hold Roma to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

    Bayer Leverkusen: Leverkusen have yet to lose a road game and they have the privilege of playing a funky Werder Bremen that played a midweek Europa game in the Netherlands. I like the fresher and better team to win the 1H here.

    Manchester City: City at +140 at home against a Torres-less Liverpool that played in midweek is a lot of value.
