Default Lyon vs Real Madrid ---Opinions?

At the moment, I am leaning toward Real Madrid to win this away match. Lyon has been struggling lately and they haven't really playing that well in the French league. With Kaka and Ronaldo in top form, it seems like an impossible mission for Lyon. Real has been playing well and they closed the gap in Spain with Barcelona. They must be very confident and they are ought to prove something.
I know that Lyon has the better H2H stats but I am not bying into that.
I also like the over in this game but so far I am leaning for Real to win...

What do you think? Am I missing something?

Lyon not as good right now as they have been in the past few years. Real Madrid on a mission, i am taking Real with the nice odds

    Any reasons?

I lean draw. I think 1-1 will be a fair result. Madrid should be Tuesday's sucker bet of the day as folks are most likely to lose on both Madrid ML and Over. It's the CL and the team's league forms has little to do with the outcome.

    Madrid

    1. Form - they have won when people were doubting them and look solid.
    2. Madrid have French born trio Diarra, Higuain and Benzema returning to familiar territory.
    3. Madrid beat Marseille in France in Dec.

Sucker bet or not I'm on Madrid.

Lyon aren't the team they was. They sold some of there best players and are well behind in the league. They might not even get a champions league place this season. Real to win and overs are the bets.

Lyon very bad form, and it's hard to imagine that Real would play for draw - it's just against their philosophy. Guti is missing, but other than that, Real Madrid will field strong team. I'm on Madrid but so is pretty much everyone - and we all know how that usually ends...
€328,044 matched total on betfair, €31,243 on Lyon, €32,535 on draw and €264,278 on Real Madrid - it's still early, but yikes, does not look very good.

I cannot see a good result bet for this game (maybe Real DNB), but I am going for the Over with medium stakes....both teams with good strikers, and vulnerable defence....my guess is : 1-2 or 1-3 for this game

League form can be throwen out the window in this competition. This could be 2-2 or even 3-3. You don't think Lyon have circled this game, whats more important, the league they have won 7 times in a row or a potential shot at winning the CL. Your kidding yourself if you think Real's La Liga form will have any influence towards this game. Afterall, there are only 2 great teams in the La Liga and the rest are miles behind.

Who here is basing their bets on Reals form or their name alone?

Madrid @2.2. These are ridiculously good odds if you ask me. I think even 1.8 would have been fair.

I like Real today and it is so far a strong lean for me but I am worried since everyone is on it too and the odds are quite high...

I haven't analyzed this game fully yet but I hate taking the road team -.5 in these games since they are sometimes happy with the draw. I think I'll look for a juiced 0AH line if I play Real Madrid.

I think you can make that case for Milan v Utd and Inter v Chelsea. But for me Real is just the far superior side. I'm absolutely sure they will go for the win tonight and possibly score plenty of goals.

    1-0 Real.

I will be only on the UNDER for this match.

Going contrarian here and think Lyon pulls out at least a draw. Home side with great motivation. Real can afford to wait until they are at home and could be a bit lackadaisical. Lyon will rise up and force the 2nd leg to mean something.

Just too many people think this is a walk in the park for RM for me to be comfortable.
