Default Difference Between .25 and .5?

Hey guys, I'm considering signing up at a new book, and I noticed that they offer .5 and .25 lines on a lot of games (never on the same game though). Is there any difference? I've always understood them to be the same.

the 0.25 bet means it is actually two bets. 1 bet on the pick-em and one bet on the 0.5 line each for half of the money bet.

tbill 0.25 means you got two bets:

    2U on X (-0.25) means:

    1U on X pk
    1U on X -0.5

    2U on X (-0.5) means:

2U on X ML (draw is loss)

    2U on X (-0.75) means:

    1 u on X (-0.5)
    1 u on X (-1)

Assuming a score of 1-0 in favor of X:

in first example you win both bets (worse price)
in 2nd example you win both bets (better price)
in 3rd example you win 1u and push the 2nd.

Alright, so basically it's just another way of writing -.5, -1, and other lines like that. Thanks guys!
