I can't answer the question if COLCHESTER is good, but if you wanna win money in soccer you will wanna tail Spartan. He makes great picks.

They are one of the better teams in League 1, They are pretty solid at home.

Colchester also returns Lisbie, Ribeiro, and Reid, so they will have a full squad today.

Southend has some major injury problems with Ian Joyce (neck injury), Pat Baldwin (terms of loan agreement), Anthony Grant (ankle), Alan McCormack (suspended), Stuart O'Keefe (suspected hernia), Francis Laurent (doubtful - knee), Scott Vernon (terms of loan agreement), Damien Scannell (limped off in training).

Also Southend sold their top goal scorer in Barnard who had 17 goals on the season.

Colchester also needs to win these matches as they are in a battle for promtion, they currently sit in 4th place. In England 1, the top two teams get a automatic promotion. And the next four teams have a playoff for the 3rd promtion spot.

Colchester needs to win to keep pace for a playoff spot.

I think colchester are pretty safe tonight but they haven't been playing that well and actually there were some angry fans after just scraping through vs carlisle.
Spartan - the pitch is a shocker at colchester, it is really churned up and the under @ evens is a cracking value price. Southend should not score at all and colchester only have 6 goals in their last 6.
    Just a thought

Yeah they didnt score twice on the road in those 5, and they were a bit banged up, they usually are more offensive at home and they had a bit of a tough schedule in that span.

I think the pitch being in a bit of ruff shape favors Colchester as Southend relies on a passing game.
