Default Chelsea V. Arsenal EPL

Arsenal can't get it done when it matters most.
In 01-04 Arsenal went 7 wins and 3 draws against Chelsea. But after that the tide has turned, Chelsea went 9-2-4 dropping only two against the goons. The last three have been beat downs with the score of 1-2,1-4,0-3 respectively, all came at Emirates stadium.

Chelsea 3-0 SU against other big four
Arsenal 1-2 SU against other big four
Arsenal has kept 3 away clean sheets this season, against villa, bolton and fulham, while Chelsea hasn't failed to score at home yet. And you know that after that midweek draw they'll be more than ready to go to regain that #1 once again.

The Goons are in their 2nd contest of their 3 straight games against other big four opponents (facing liverpool next) and is currently 6 pts behind Chelsea. The deficits will be 9 if they lose tomorrow, which is pretty much a goodbye kiss for the title. They have to win tomorrow to have any chance at it (mathematically they're not out but counting on United and Chelsea to consistently dropping pts with roughly 10 matches to go is a daydream).

Yup, they'll have to attack against Chelsea and the game will be more open. I expect strong D and lightning textbook counterattack from Chelsea.

No surprises here. Chelsea will overpower the youthful Goons, whose spirits were down after a 1-3 defeat at home to MU last week, and will run away with this one.

Chelsea -.5 @ -111 3 unit
over 2.5 @ -110 1 unit

Your thoughts?

Hope the Goons can do us a favour and get a result at the Bridge. Somehow we always find a way back to the top of the table! You never know...they're the last club to have beaten Chelski at home (last season) so anything's possible and even a draw would be great. They're only chance is to win it down the wings where they might be able to exploit the Blues. That being said, it's probably more wishful thinking and I expect Chelski to win this one. Just like United did, the Blues should be able win with their physical presence and I'm not referring to 'Fat Frank'. Will be interesting to see where John Terry's head is in this game though...maybe looking for some WAGs in the crowd. If the Gunners get a result that would be great, if not, I've got a tenner on a Chelsea 2-0 win with Drogba to score first @ 22-1.

clutch time performance. how many times in the past few seasons the Goons made a late run only to fall short.

This season is down to Chelsea and United, with Chelsea winning tomorrow .

For value I'd go for a draw (3.5) or -1 draw (3.6)(meaning a either side wins by ).

Other than this expect a lot of goals, and most of them from Chelsea, I just don't see Arsenal loose 3-1 at home then go to Stamford bridge and do any better.

I think a lot of people are going to be on the over in this one and that is a likely result, but I can also see both teams settling for a 1-1 draw potentially. I'm sitting this one out as I don't see a clear edge based on the recent ups and downs of both.

Both teams will be looking for a win to stay in the tittle race but I think Chelsea will win at home.

i like the over here. arsenal need a result here to have any chance of staying in contention for the title. if this is the case, look for an open game.

Thinking Chelsea gets the job done. They will bend the Gooners over like John Terry bends over Wayne Bridge's girl.

Chelsea looks quite strong before this fixture but the odds for home win are quite useless. Maybe something like 2.1-2.3 would push me to pull the trigger. On the other hand odds for Arsenal are almost too good to be true, but after their performance against Manchester United it's quite hard to back them.
Taking into consideration teams' past performance and previous meetings, over looks quite obvious but the price is again very poor.

I hope that we will see plenty of goals, but I see couple of scenarios why this might stay under:
- Arsenal might be as tootheless as they were against United, Chelsea scores two goals, settle for that and just holds the ball for the rest of the game
- Wenger realises that Arsenal's only chance in this one is to put up very strong defensive performance. After all this is a 6 point fixture and if Arsenal wants to keep their title hopes alive, they just can't let the gap to Chelsea increase to nine points. If Arsenal manages to hold back Chelsea's strikers first 45 minutes, then this will be anybody's game and stays very likely under.

If Arsenal comes out all guns blazing - and I hope they will - then this will most certainly go over.

I will stay away of 1x2 and o/u markets, but will make a little bet for Nicholas Anelka to score first. Problem child has already scored nine first goals this season and has something to prove against Arsenal.

arsenal couldnt have been worse in there first meeting with the pensioners, and are still the last team to defeat chelsea at home. it may be my blind gunner faith, but Arsenal +0.5 at 2.075 for me.

Liverpool fan here, I would always normally always want Arsenal to beat Chelsea but not today, 1-0 to Chelsea will do, anything to stop the Manc lot. Tough game to bet on though, TurkzZ has summed it up perfectly.
