Another must win game for Nth Queensland tonight. I got a feeling watching NQ's last game the ref was favouring them to get the full points so they make the finals. They are a new club in a small town and signed a big name, Robbie Fowler. It would be huge not only for them but the comp's image if they make the finals. Melb are missing what I think are their 2 most important players, Captain and defensive linchpin Muscat and striker Thompson as well as striker Kruse. Melb are a totally different team without Muscat and Thompson. In their desperation Melb this week signed Mrdja on a short-term deal to bolster their offense.

As bad as NQ's defense has been on the road I still think they will get something from this game. Six weeks ago they beat a Thompson-less Melb in Townsville and there is every chance they can repeat that again tonight.

All I've read is pundits assuming he won't play.
With Thompson and Kruse this would have been the perfect counter-attack game for Melbourne.
And now flying in Mrdja, idunno, i think that could potentially make it worse; placing your attack at the feet of someone with no chemistry with the rest of the team.
