Sunderland v. Stoke City 2/1
What do you guys think about this game? I know that Stoke averages less than a goal a game, but since their last match against eachother ended 1-0 Stoke, I assume Sunderland will have a lot to play for especially coming off of a loss to Everton last week. I expect them to put up at least 2 goals, but the question is whether or not Stoke can net one as well.
My early feeling is on the over at 2.5 and possibly Sunderland or a draw, I'd probably rather just play the over.

I'm not sure about the Over but I definately like Sunderland on the Moneyline tomorrow. They've been in poor form recently and I think this is their perfect chance to bounce back with a win at home. This will be a very hungry Sunderland team and one that can produce a bit more quality than Stoke, if they are playing to their potential.

Great call. Put it in before it becomes a negative number. They play well at the Stadium of Light.

No, but stoke should be faded at the very least, they are becoming quite impotent in front of goal on their travels

This game tomorrow is a tough one to predict. I might play the total or not at all.

I am thinking sunderland win by one goal at 3/1 - only small stakes obviously.
I might as well try and find value out of a tough matchup like this

This one's a draw or a Stoke win. I think you guys should consider Sunderlands poor form recently. Yes they looked very good at the beginning of the season, but right now they are playing very poorly. We are talking about a Sunderland side who a couple days ago lost to the bottom club in the league. The only advantage Sunderland have against Stoke is that they are at home and they really need the points.
I think the 3-1 odds for a draw or Stoke win here is pretty generous.

sunderland's home losses have all came against big clubs like chelsea, everton villa. Their last defeat at home to a club of stoke's size came last seasn against wigan. Don't think Stoke can win this one even with an injury free squad, but they can draw it.

I like Sunderland, they need a win bad and Stoke has been really poor on the road.

Ever since their big win at home against Arsenal, Sunderland have been quite dire winless now in their last 9 league games (0-3-6). The only positive is that their home record has been quite decent with just one loss in their last 9. As 'Tailmypicks' has mentioned, their only two losses at home have come against Chelsea and Villa and against Villa was the only time they failed to score a goal at home. The Blackcats are desperate too sitting just 3pts clear from the drop but with a win can space themselves and leapfrog Stoke. Stoke on the other hand have been equally dreadful with just the one win in their last 8 league games and have been dreadful on the road with just one win (1-4-5). Stoke just don't score alot and don't have the type of players to create alot of chances on their own, with just 4 road goals and failing to score in 6 of them (not scoring more than once in a road game all season). They’re winless in their last 5 road games, drawing just the once, and have failed to score in their last 4 although the matches they’ve been shut out have all been against the top third of the table and against a defensive Blackburn side. Stoke also have not won in their last 7 trips to the Stadium of Light, losing 4 of them. Neither team in this match keep many clean sheets in their respective home/away results so there should be some goals if both teams play for the win. The draw here is probably a safe bet, but I like the home edge with Sunderland. Bruce is rumoured to be the next manager sacked so the pressure will be on to get a good result today and I think Darren Bent will be a threat all night. I'm thinking a 2-1 Sunderland win.

Value is on Stoke +0.5 @ -110, Sunderland is way overestimated, they had a good start but don't have a deep squad and don't cope well with key players out. Stoke is underestimated, they are unbeaten in 2010, have a full line-up today. Cattermole, Richardson, Bardsley, Ferdinand, Nosworthy and Turner could all be out, when Cattermole, Ferdinand and Richardson don't play their record has been awful.
>70% of the public is on Sunderland, they are not that good be to favored so much, Stoke could cause a surprise here and wouldn't the books just love that.
Stoke +0.5 game most likely ends in a draw, Stoke could snatch a winner. Sunderland could burn alot of public money tonight.

Scares me because it looks like an under and as you have stated those quite often go over, but I went with the under because I feel that it is the solid play here.

this game is ridiculous..... refree obviously has his money on Stoke..... refree is not calling obvious fouls..... sunderland could have had at least 2 or 3 penalty kicks by now....

Howard Webb is trying to be nice, in the 2nd half if stoke keeps the same shit up penaltys will be coming. He needs to review the first half with his colleagues and the EPL will give him a call, this is like Monday Night Football in britain. Look for Sunderland to open it up with Reid in the 2nd half, Kenwyn Jones needs to find a way to get free despite have shawcross ripping his jersey off in the box.
