    Default Soccer Question

Why after a game goes tied and it goes into extra time why does a team always score multiple goals in a short period of time. I am just occasional watcher and better so I don't know a lot. I have seen this today is the Egypt match and many times in England matches. A heavily favored team will be tied ending regulation. They get multiple goals in no time. Does the other team just give up? Just curious.

Possibly superior fitness levels, or possibly just the fact extra time gives more time for quality to overcome.

A team could throw the kitchen sink for 90 minutes and maybe not score, but you know sooner or later they are going to.

Both goals should never have happened, one was Geremi having a divvy fit, and the other was kameni having a spacker attack, honestly, the guy has no co-ordination at all

I think generally most games go to pens, but goals will come through tiredness mainly

A combination of things really. If a favourite scores in ET, the underdog have to throw caution to the wind, push mean forward which leaves them exposed in defence. The effect of this is compounded by fatigue.
