Wilforth's soccer picks - 2010
Welcome to the new year!
Let's hope this fresh start will help one.
Italy: Genoa -110
Genoa have an excellent opportunity for redemption when they host Atalanta. Atalanta seem to have forgotten how to play ball.

Losers like you? What makes you a loser? Please bring your NBA acumen to the soccer forum.
One suggestion I also have is that we should look out for the soccer equivalents of the NBA's NJ Nets and fade them for the rest of the season.

BTW, seems like Genoa is missing som players for this match...
"Their cause has not been helped by the fact that are dealing with an injury crisis that has ruled out Bosko Jankovic, Houssine Kharja, Raffaele Palladino and Rodrigo Palacio, while Salvatore Bocchetti is suspended for this tie. Giuseppe Sculli is not 100 per cent fit, but should be able to play through the pain alongside David Suazo."
I think i'll pass this on, but best of luck to you, sir!

Smogs!
Wao. Thanks a lot. I know the reason for the hefty points. My criteria for the Genoa pick was similar to my criteria for the pick for which you gave me the points. I like the way the pick in question cashed.
I think we'll all roll this year.

YTD: 1-0 +1.00
01/27
EPL: Blackburn -105
Wigan have conceded a whopping 22 goals in their L5 road games while scoring only 4 in those games. While Blackburn are far from an offensive power house, they should have enough to outscore Wigan here. At home, Blackburn are now 3-0-0 against Wigan. I believe that at the end of this game, Blackburn will be 4-0-0 at home against Wigan.

Adding:
Birmingham +1.5 (+110)
Birmingham lose by more than a goal? Not likely!

I'm loving both your plays today and have got them both booked. Particularly confident on the Blackburn play but Birmingham has been in top form so even against Chelsea I expect them to provide a them to produce a tight match.

secret007, SRBI, Sportslover, and Rixsaw,
The Blackburn game looks to me like a 2-1 or 3-1 home win, which is why Over 2.5 @ +115 also looks tempting to me.
As for Chelsea/Birmingham, I think the game will be much closer than many would expect for these reasons:
1) Riding a 14-game unbeaten run, Birmingham play with a lot of confidence
2) Chelsea's defense nowadays can't be trusted to keep a clean sheet against Birmingham. The prospect of a Birmingham goal makes it difficult for Birmingham to lose (if at all) by more than a goal
3) Going by the law of averages, Chelsea will struggle for goals in this game having scored 7 goals in their last league home game against Sunderland.

Can't disagree with any picks, Blackburn over looks tempting as does Arsenal -0.25 - villa are fade material atm but Arsenal don't fill me with confidence.
Birmingham +2 is a lot of juice but a push at the worst surely

Smogs,
Frankly speaking, if I were asked to predict the results of today's games, this is what I'll come up with:
Blackburn 3-1 Wigan
Aston Villa 1-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 1-0 Birmingham
Everton 2-2 Sunderland
I'm just thinking the Villa game will go Under contrary to popular expectations while Everton ML may turn out a sucker bet. Just my 2 cents.

Your thinking looks sharp, GL today man, I wouldn't doubt the Everton/Sunderland draw and o2.5 in that match should be obvious.

I have Everton and Blackburn ML. I hope Everton doesn't end in a draw as you predicted. As for Birmingham, I would give them a shot if they were playing at home. Your logic is sounds, I'll be rooting for ya.

YTD: 2-1 +1.00
01/29
Netherlands: Willem II -111
Let's back Willem II to get their 4th home win while RKC Waalwijk incure their 9th road loss of the season. Yes! RKC are 1-0-8 on the road and they'll fall to 1-0-9 after this game.
