bear this in mind - i read it somewhere---------

Only teams with managers native to their country have won the world cup..........

i can't be bothered to verify it but it makes sense when i think back a decade

Think it makes sense to put a little and Cameroon and Ivory Coast in the futures market. At worst, If they do well, you can buy back for small profit.

Take it or leave it, Ivory Coast won't win it. Ivory Coast is already a known entity, so they won't enjoy the privilege of being underrated! I believe Ivory Coast's offense can be stifled by any good defense. The African team with the best chance of winning the WC is Cameroon. Cameroon plays a style that makes it difficult to score against them. Did you watch Euro 2004 where Greece took the whole world by surprise? If you saw the manner Greece beat countries like France (which then had the Zidanes, Henrys, and Trezequets of this world), Cameroon can duplicate that effort in South Africa.

I really don't expect anyone outside Europe or South America to win the thing but I can see a bunch of surprise teams making it far (a la 2002).
I'm going to lay back the price for decent coin if either of these teams make it to the QF. More so on Cameroon as Ivory Coast's price isn't that attractive at +3000.

Watch out for Serbia, Krasic is like a raging viking warrior, he might make a name for himself this tournament.
