Sounds like you have had a few bad losses in Soccer. I do not agree though with what have said. I believe this sport is the most profitable sport to bet on.

There isn't much in the CL games anymore. It's not an elimination stage, so most of the teams that need one or two more points to qualify for the next stage may not take the remaining games seriously. Even the Chelsea game could end in a draw. Chelsea are almost through to the next round. Except for Sevilla to beat Stuttgart (and the odds aren't great) and maybe Bordeaux to get at least a draw away to Bayern, there's hardly anything worthy of note in the remaining games. The lines for Arsenal, Man Utd and Marseille are too ridiculous to wager on. So those ones are a pass. Maybe the eggheads on the board will help us make something out of the CL games.

Think about it logically, US major sports are very high profile, the books are fully focused on them, you are trying to out-cap the books focusing on these games with huge public money on. Unless you have contacts in all the teams giving you info before the media get onto it, your never going to be one step ahead of the books.

In soccer there are so many leagues, the books either can't or don't bother spending their time and resources on these games so it gives the capper an advantage. If you have good contacts in say for example Estonia who knows something that will affect the game but the books haven't got hold of this info because it doesn't exist anywere else, well then your one step ahead and have an edge.

Now multiply this by having contacts in different countries in different timezones.

You can get much softer lines in soccer than US sports than you can beat. Agree with Kara.

Look at the NBA lines from last night involving the best teams. Celtics line -11 game ends at 97-87 with a meaningless FT at the end. Lakers line -8.5 Hawks outscore Lakers by 14 in 4th quarter to cover 118-110.

There is no way in soccer if Chelsea is up 2-0 or Man Utd up 2-0 at home to Blackburn or Hull Cityand they can come from behind and score twice in the last 10 min. Maybe once every 30 years but in NBA or NFL a meaningless FT or a garbage TD can lose your bet and most of the times is done on purpose to screw the bettors because so much money is involved.
