another factor that one might forget to consider is the golden boot. anelka would like to get a couple goals here to put him in the goal lead (tied with ronaldo). also forlan leads the competion with 10 shots on target but no goal. i cant help but think he is due.

Chelsea could go in there and destroy Atletico by HT and rest players the 2nd half. I'm not sure really what to play that game, but Atletico hold no threat to Cheslea to be honest.

Chelsea couldn't destroy APOEL on the road. They scored one goal early and then sat back and defended the whole game. They have an Italian coach and they always pack the midfield and defense on road games.

Atletico couldn't even beat Apoel at home. Atletico are in shit form, have 1 win in their league and if they play the way they have been Chelsea could win by 2/3 goals. At the moment Apoel are probably better than Ateltico.

pavy, what do you think of a Man U prop bet of 2-0 or 3-0?

I like the -1.5. United need a big win to lift the spirits before Chelsea clash on the weekend. Eastern europe teams usually get crashed in England.

Thanks. I'm thinking of a little round robin parlay of your picks also.

Chelsea want to qualify in first position, if they wrap up this game they won't have to worry about having to go and play Porto on the road which alot of English sides have struggled with to fight for the first spot.

I don't think they will take this game too lighty, Ancelotti is willing to risk Drogba in this game so he is taking it pretty seriously.

The Man U match is an important factor, Ashley Cole may not play, their defense may be weakened in this game.

In my opinion APOEL's defense is much better than Atletico Madrid's, attacking wise they didn't pose no real threat to Chelsea but defensively they coped pretty well.

I think it goes Over2.5 because Atletico Madrid must play for a win, they are under huge pressure and infront of a pissed off home crowd, their defense is bad when they are trying to defend, if they play an open game they could get torn by Anelka and Drogba on the counter attack.

I've been watchin Atletico's past games and their defense is very worrying and they'll also be missing their main GK.

Even if Chelsea sit back they can score on the counter, my only worry is Atletico Madrid not being able to score, Chelsea could take this game over on their own though and have the past few games. The situation is right for there to be goals, Atletico has an attack dangerous enough to cause problems and a defense bad enough to allow Chelsea to get chances without putting in much effort.

BOL with your plays Pavyracer, I like Man U and Bourdeaux aswell

I've been taking Besiktas the past few games, they have got in a rythm and are on a streak. Their defense has been solid, they create chances but have serious problems finishing with Nobre who should really be dropped and Nihat missing unbelievable sitters. Thankfully Nihat won't play, Bobo could start and he's a much more potent threat.

Wolfsburg are in a bit of turmoil, Grafite isn't playing due to personal issues and their defense is crumbling. However, they have a quality side and can't be underestimated.

Both teams want a win here, Besiktas is desperate for one, they'll have the 12th man with the support they'll get tomorrow, the stadium is going to be rocking and this may affect an unstable Wolfsburg team.

This is a risky play, the situation is right for an Over, it will come down to the finishing at the end of the night and finishing.

I'd check the line ups before game time in that Chelsea match. Kalou may start over Anelka or Drogba perhaps.

Man U/Chelsea parlay might be decent. Worried more about Chelsea on the road in CL play, but they have been ridiculously good in their last 4.

I'm going to wait untill the starting 11 is released before deciding on the size of the play but I will play Over2/2.5, I think there will be at least 2 goals in the game.

Be careful with Chelsea. Wait for the lineups to be announced. There is a rumor important players like Drogba, Lampard and Carvalho will be rested for Man U clash on the weekend.

Drogba is supposed to play. Carvalho will not from what I have read along with Anelka.

Good advice Pavy, I heard similar rumours aswell, alot of rumours Anceletti is reported as saying the players will play and then that they won't, I'll wait for the lineup information. So far it seems Drogba has left the UK and is in Spain with the team.

I know. I've read it on multiple sources though. I think he'll either start and play just the 1st half or come on as a sub, doubt he'll go the full match.

Looking at the board tomorrow, I think that (if their main lineup is playing), Bayern might be the best pick on the board. This is a classic home and home situation, and Bayern really needs this win to have a chance at advancing. They are a squad that is usually well known for their competitiveness on an international scale, and they need to prove that they are a big team this year. I think they'll come out playing with a passion tomorrow. The -115 price tag scares me, but I think that more squares will be tempted to bet on Bordeaux or the +1/2 simply because Bordeaux won before and is in 1st place in Ligue 1.

    Thoughts?

The Bayern that couldn't beat a punchless Stuttgart? If Ribery and Robben aren't playing, don't waste your money on Bayern.

See that's the thing, I think that Bayern was caught in a look ahead. They already have the game film on Bordeaux since they just beat them, and they probably didn't expect Stuttgart to pose much of a challenge. It was stupid tactically to do that, but I'm feeling that's what could have happened. On top of that, Bayern's an entirely different beast at home. They haven't lost in 9 games on their home turf. Bordeaux hasn't looked fantastic on the road either.

This will be a no play if Ribery and Robben aren't playing though because that will show that tactically, they didnt lose to Stuttgart because of a look ahead, they just sh*t a brick in an easy game and should be faded or no-played

I Doubt there start with Bobo, i belive there play a 4-2-3-1 with Tabata in AMC and the rubbish Nobre up top meaning goals will be hard to come by for besiktas.

However Besiktas are good defensivly with Fink + Ernst bossing the midfiled and Ferrari and Sivok clearning up from defence. I think an under could be the play here.

Any thoughts on Kazan +1 or Under 2.5 goals.

All the odds should belong to the same bookie, no shopping around for the best line. Good luck.

Bring your phucking 1.20 Mancester United and Juventus lines and I will erase your phucking soccer straight or paralay bets with a simple NBA over/under. You know and I know that you will never win three soccer bets giving good odds.
How about you show us your losses from last night?

How about some Wednesday discussion. Really like the Fiorentina Over at 3 at this point. Debrecen's defense has been awful in their last 5, giving up 15 goals - including 8 in their last two Champions League matches. Final was 4-3 in the 1st leg in Hungary. The Italians aren't always great at scoring, but should once again take advantage of the weak defense. Also think Sevilla is a bargain at -200 so long as they come out focused. Stuttgart has lost 5 of their last 7 & haven't won in the CL since their opener, although they did draw 3 before Sevilla slapped them 3-1.

    What're you fellas looking at?

Right now I'm liking Inter and Olympiakos. Inter is basically in a must win situation, and their form as of late has been brilliant. I hate to bet against Kiev at home, but Inter should grab a win here. As far as the Olympiakos game goes, Standard Liege has looked terrible as of late. This is more a bet against Liege than for Olympiakos. Sure, 3 points would basically qualify them, so that would be great, but Liege will give this game away more than Olympiakos will win it.
