Had a moderately priced upset yesterday with Lyon over Liverpool and the big one with Rubin Kazan over Barcelona. Got any today? Figured maybe some of the fellas on here might do right and give a couple SBR points to anyone who accurately calls one today. I know I will.

Playing better domestically after a slow start. Wolfsburg defense is still a bit shaky. This is the best "long" shot upset IMO for today, although Wolfsburg will probably just outscore them even if they concede a goal or two.

Real's defense is atrocious. If Milan play Roni/Pato/Inzaghi, they're capable of an upset especially that Real are playing without Ronaldo.

Well, I like Besitkas and Milan, but I generally stay away from Italian teams in International play and as mentioned above, Turkish teams have trouble on the road. So, my crazy ass upset of the day is:

Maccabi Haifa +1205

I'll more than likely throw a unit or two on the +1.5, because Juventus has not been impressive lately, Haifa played Bordeux close in their last CL game and I dunno...I just don't think Juventus is motivated in this competition. They're such huge favorites that they just might blow it.

Besiktas upset is also an outside possibility, Turkish teams generally don't play well away except in Germany as there is a big Turkish population who usually make themselves heard in games when these teams come to town.

I need to trust my instincts more and remind myself of this every time I bet. I'd rather lose on my instincts than to sit there and look and look and look. I actually sat there and told myself today, what are you doing? I was in the midst of picking the Porto/APOEL UNDER at 3, but thought better of it - would have pushed it .... then went back to one of my defaults for today, Chelsea OVER, talked myself out of it because of some of the Chelsea absences and then settled on the crap I chose.

In fact, I am amending my signature at SBR to remind myself!
