    A very poor reds D and now no attack . Hurts me to say it but they will struggle and this could easily be their season gone - for title hopes anyway - long before their big buy Aquilani ever sees the pitch. Sunderland backers will be in this a long way .....................

    yup. title is out of reach. i think they will strugle to to get a champions league spot now that man city's spending is paying off and tottenham is finally melding.

    Sunderland didn't beat Liverpool. That was a draw. Such a goal shouldn't have stood.

    Everton draw wasn't a surprise. Something was always going to destroy a parlay of Everton/Arsenal/Man Utd. That's man unwritten rule.

    regardless of whether the goal should count.

    a rule of thumb is to back the other team when Gerrard and Torres are missing, the side looks toothless without them
