can someone convince me why i shouldn't bet my house on montpellier to win??

Montepellier is the better team but you don't bet your house on a soccer pick. A penalty and 2 red cards against Montpellier can ruin your bet. So if you like Montpellier, you may go ahead but knowing at the back of your mind that nothing is guaranteed in sports.

yeah i wouldn't actually bet my house just a figure of speech, i was just excited when i cam across this one.

On a general note, these dogs look promising this weekend:

England: Bolton +270 and Portsmouth +240
France: Valenciennes +220
Germany: Mainz +300
Spain: Sevilla +240

game is at Grenoble. Home pitch advantage pretty big. I'd downgrade to a condo.

Grenoble is 0 for 7, but the last three times these two teams have played it was Draw- Grenoble Win- Grenoble Win.

Montpellier is a promoted team this year, while Grenoble was in Ligue 1 last year.

Class difference not nearly as great as the table indicates and while Montpellier probably the better side they are by no means prohibitely better.

Grenoble plays pretty close to the vest so I could see a 0-0 or 1-0 result.

Just laying out some food for thought here.
