    Default U20 World Cup

Can anyone convince me that Spain will not score 5 goals against Tahiti. Is anyone familiar with the spain yougsters? the goaline has moved to -2.5 -171 to -200. Im thinking of using this in a parlay. Insights anyone?

    Why not?
Spain has a really great team, Merida, Parejo, de Marcos, Krkic and very good goalie Sergio Asenjo. And Tahiti are the newcomers.

    -2.5 for sure.

    Best of luck.

    I think this one should be a 6-0 Spain win. 3-0 1H 3-0 2H

Spain are one of the favs for this, the odds are not inviting at all, spanish football in general has a problem opening up closed defenses, but i have now idea on Tahiti, and with young players its not always so predictable

well in qualifying tahiti could only manage 4 goals against fiji, new caledonia, and new zealand. I dont think they will score against spain. So all we need from spain is 3 goals. This should be a breeze for spain. Also since this is a group stage match, it is important to accumulate goals in case of a tiebreak situation. Ill use the play in a parlay.

Anyone knows why there is such good price on Germany against USA? Its 2.00 with Jetbull! It freaks me out because Germany should be one of the best teams of this tournament and USA should be average.... Any info about it?

Id say that is fairly accurate. They US youth system is getting strong. We have many youngster playing in europe at the likes of Hertha, Stabaek, Brugge, Napoli, Sporting. Not to mention all the MLS players

I just want to tell you a point I think the price for Germany is slightly better understandable.
The german leagues started some weeks ago and two thirds of the players that used to play are not on the way to Egypt. Some players are important factors in their teams, playing first XI. Therefore the clubs wanted them to stay and play. The german u-20 youngsters can be called a weakened team, nearly a b-team. I think they can nevertheless win against USA, but it´s a no play for me (I am not familiar with the US-Squad).
    Good luck.. HSCH

Never heard of Tahiti ... that can give you an idea how bad their soccer must be.

Philtith, sorry to take over your thread, but I just opened one under SBR Pts whomever wants to take the opposite teams I selected to bet on SBR Points.

Just check in this thread: Sharkys U20 WorldCup (19 pts vs 22pts)

Bingo. line just moved to -2 3/4 -165. Thats still some high vig. -2 1/2 was the right play.

The German association was more interested in bashing the FIFA for scheduling the World Cup in September than in getting any decent players. Without enforcing any players from their teams the German juniors are a squad of nobodies while all their stars (Kroos, Müller etc.) are playing the Bundesliga.
Of course, the German DFB doesn't have to care about the junior World Cup anymore, since they've already got the 2006 tournament, and are not likely to get much more for the next 20 years.
So the only way to go would betting against them, but without any infos on the US squad, I'm staying away.

This was probably the easiest pick i've ever made in my life. I think Spain -4.5 might of been more reasonable.

The really unreal thing is that a squad like Tahiti did actually qualify for a (youth) World Cup.

There were only 4 teams in oceanic qualifying.

Yes, I've read the stories about Tahiti's qualifying before. They're quite funny - their starting effort was a 0-0 vs. mighty New Caledonia.

The qualifying for FIFA youth tourneys is traditionally ridiculous: this time we have 6 European teams and 5 from Australasia. But of course Blatter knows that the "developing" countries have developed - and Tahiti and Uzbekiztan are much better than France or Argentina.
