    Default Friday tails

I don't know many of the european leagues beyond england, spain, and italy, so today is just a card tailing all the usual suspects on this board. Big card though, it seems to be easier to find value in these leagues anyway compared to the big boys.

    France League 2
    Caen - spread -1 (+103)
    Istres - spread -½ (+105)

    Turkey
    Besiktas/Gaziantepspor - total Over 2½ (-108)

    Poland
    Legia Warsaw/Polonia Bytom - total Over 2½ (-102)

    Belgium
    Westerlo/Zulte Waregem - total Under 2½ (-111)

    Holland
    Roda JC/Vitesse - total Under 2½ (-111)

    England League One
    Millwall - spread -½ (-143)

    Ireland
    Bray Wanderers/Derry City - total Over 2½ (+116)

All for one unit. I am totally ignorant about all except Millwall, who have been playing decent football so far this year and Brighton is no good at all. GL to all today, let's hope to get some good cashes out of these and have some money to play with for tomorrow!

Early leans for the weekend's prem games:
Liverpool -1 -110 v Bolton (it's already make or break for my boys, gotta win)
Stoke pk -147 v Sunderland (stoke are solid defensively, esp at home)
Spurs/Birmingham over 2.5 -133 (spurs are a machine offensively right now)
Hull City +0.5 -135 v Wolves (wolves are too inconsistent, love getting a half goal)
    United/Arsenal under 2.5 -128 (should be a cagey affair, expect 1-0 or 1-1)

    Adding Barca/Shahktar over 2.5 (-137) for 2 units.

Sigh. Looks like one of those days. 4 overs on the sheet, 3 are still scoreless and the only game with 2 goals is one of my unders. The Besiktas game is absurd, there could have been 3 or 4 goals by now (including a non-penalty call) and it's still 0-0.

Barca is mailing it in about as much as they could....really don't think Ibrahimovic fits into that team as well as Eto. They are settling for corners and not putting the ball on net. Doesn't feel like it's gonna go over unless Shaktar can get a goal and they aren't threatening to score at all.

Edited to add: HA! There's the third goal in the Roda/Vitesse game.

This game can be cruel sometimes. 5 goals scored in the Roda game now....whereas Besiktas ended 0-0 with 33 shots and 18 corners between the teams. Yuck.

Wow, what a day, can't remember one this bad in a long time. A couple 0-0 draws in the over bets, a 7 goal game in one under, an extra time winner to lose another under, and 2 games leading in the 70th minute that turned into draws.

    0-1-8, -10.5 units.

I think I'll go stab my eyes out now.

New days bring new luck. 3 for 3 with a push on the Liverpool game but they got a much needed win so I'm more than happy. What a cracker by Gerrard for the winner!

Great result for Liverpool, still need to sort out the defense, two poor goals conceded, but at least it will get the media of Rafa's back for awhile. We need to push on from todays win. Now a win for Arsenal over the Salford lot (not sure how abusive i'm allowed to be on these forums, so i'll go gentle) would round of a good day.

Yeah for sure. Set pieces continue to be a problem. Unfortunately I am in the midwest for a wedding and no one around here seems to have heard of Setanta so had to watch an awful feed through atdhe.net. It was choppy to say the least, so I missed a lot of the game. How did the second goal get conceded? Another set piece? I also missed the red card but Bolton were certainly pushing their luck with the tackles I did see.

Anyway, it was a great win, surprised to see a red given to the other squad without Xabi being involved....he was on the receiving end of 4 or 5 red-inducing tackles last term.

Glen Johnson has been a fantastic addition as well, really class.

Now to jump on the gunners bandwagon for one day at least!

2nd Bolton goal was a long free kick from Bolton, easy flick on header and which dropped to the totally unmarked runner from deep. Apart from the lucky Mancs winning its been a decent day, Bolton away is never easy.

Absolutely, they are always tough at home. They really park in front of Reina on set pieces, he was getting pretty frustrated in the first half. Was it Bolton that did that repeatedly last year? I remember at least one game where the opponent kept blocking him off and Rafa went bonkers in the post-match comments.
