What do you guys think of this conspiracy theory in the spain - croatia game?
Some Italian press are claiming that spain and croatia will intenionally draw their game 2 - 2 which would send both spain and croatia through and send italy home. Apparently a similar thing happened to them at euro 2004.
What do you guys think? worth putting something on the draw or the over? lol
Dangerous game to play, one false move and your draw turns to a loss and you are out. They won't be able to make it so obvious that there won't be a chance of someone scoring. That said, you probably won't see anyone pressing forward and leaving themselves exposed like the Netherlands did on quite a few occasions.
why are they both guaranteed to move forward if they draw?
if they both draw, and italy wins say 3-0..
wouldnt spain and italy move forward based on goal difference

Yes they would and according to my "calculations" Italy would go through if they win 3-1 based on having a higher UEFA national team coefficient ranking. I hope this happens.Originally Posted by ebbearsfb1

It's hard to fix a 2-2. 0-0 or 1-1 maybe but not a high scoring draw. That said, no way a team like Spain would do that.
Croatia is one of the surprises so far but i think that a motivated Spain will beat them.
2-0 or 2-1 Spain.

if teams level on points goal difference does not matter, simply head to head. look what happened to russia.
Just parlay Spain and Italy ML.

I think the best bet is Italy -1.5.. They will be playing hard and should win 3-0 if they want to advance
Italy minus 1.5, minus 2 or minus 2.5.. all seem like good options

Denmark and Sweden tied 2-2 in 2004 cuz they are both scandinavians and they have good relationship .
Spain has nothing to do with croatia ,nothing links these two places ... Spain will win ,or at least croatia will not score two goals . The only result i exclude from this match is 2-2 and 3-3
