Fired up for season. I think we are premier team in MLS and may win the Cup this year.

didn't realize there was an mls forum. i am not a huge american soccer fan, but the kansas home venue is on a par of many european venues. yes i am fired up and will post more in the mls forum versus this. thanks for the acknowledgement.

Good point. Seems like sportingkc has a little bit better youth and scouting setup than nyrb.

oh hell yea, i dont disagree with your assessment of your team, tbh KC can cruise under the radar and less pressure is always good. Wouldnt be shocked if kc did go far this year. Havent kept up with the off season transfers, any good signings for this year?

I don't think they can cruise under the radar this year. Most people have them picked to finish first in the East again. That may be there Achilles heal. The team that will be a surprise this year will be Toronto FC -- but that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

I'd love to get down this year and see your new stadium.

Good luck (but not too much)!

Yea you're prob right, I guess I just dont pay kc much attention, one reason i'm starting to dislike mls is the numerous off season moves, just read tchani is off tfc, was he bad last year? When this kid was drafted people were talking about him going to europe in 1-2 years and having a great career there but it all seems to have stalled and now hes on his third team in three years

Well anyways lets hope for a fun season for the next 6 months or so

Hey Boys, Sounders Fan, I started to follow the league couple of years ago. Last year I actually started betting on MLS games.
The MLS can be a lot of fun. I think teams like Galaxy and RSL will be the big contenders this year, but the road won't be easy, there is a lot of talent out there.

Toronto played a good game on Concacaf Champions league last week.

Glad to see a MLS Thread!!!

    Cheers!!!!

I see you're right up to date. Tchani's been with Columbus since last July, so it wasn't an off season move.

A pig in a poke. Actually they got Andy Iro and Leandre Griffit. It was a desperation move by Winter to get a cb because of Toronto's terrible injury situation and glut of midfielders. Iro and Grifit are long gone. Tchani is still young and he'll get better - but he's no Yaya Touré (a player somebody actually compared him to).

Gonna put one unit on Vancouver to win. MTL is an expansion, Canadian rivalry game, should be a sold out crowd, hoping VAN will be up for the game.

Die hard Union fan and season ticket holder here and can't wait for an exciting season even though I feel completely gutted by the loss of Le Toux and Mondragon.

Huge Impact fan here. Going to be a rough season for us, as expected. As long as were competitive and stay in games, steal a few wins here and there, I'll be happy. Other than the 2 defensive meltdowns that led to goals vs Vancouver tonight, I didn't think we played too bad. Still a lot of work to do though, obviously.

great start, skc dominated then was ready to settle for road draw. Sapong comes out of nowhere for the decision. Wow. I'll take it, all day long.

Should I bet the Timbers today! Almost seems too easy!!

Crowd will be rowdy. Timbers playing excellent pre-season ball. Started last year very strong. Seems like a play here!! But I don't want to bet the minus a half goal. Maybe a ML play where you get the money back if it is a draw.

2 games, 2 wins. Dominant home opener over a terrible New England squad.

Little bit questionable red, but it was a clear goal-scoring opportunity and it looked more legit on the replay. Talent disparity was huge and 11 on 11 would have been close to same result I suspect.

Is the atmosphere like the one in Portland?

Is Bunburry still playing for KC?
