Newcastle United +1 [-110]
Given Liverpool's struggles to win at home [5 draws in their last 6], I'll gladly pounce on Newcastle +1 today. Key story lines today are Liverpool missing Suarez due to suspension and the likelihood of former Newcastle star Andy Carroll getting a start today. Stephen Garrard should be available again for Liverpool, but may be a sub once more. Of Liverpool's nine home matches in EPL play, they have won by more than one goal just once and have not cleared that number in their last six. Newcastle got a much needed confidence boost with a road win @ Bolton last time out which broke a six match streak where they only gained two points. Their road form has been mostly solid with only two defeats in nine tries. Newcastle's form @ Anfield generally has been poor over the years, but this is a different time and situation with Liverpool struggling to find wins. Demba Ba is the danger man for Newcastle. With draws prevalent at Anfield this season, that could be the order of the day again ... but even if Liverpool wins, I don't see a heavy defeat here today by more than a goal.
