Ronaldo moving in summer 150 mil pounds?!

Heard this on BBC Radio. Ronaldo could be moving this summer for a 150 million pound transfer fee.

Didn't UEFA introduce some "financial fair play" to stop this kind of transfers? Ronaldo's definitely a great player, but no way they are breaking even on that kind of money...

The financial fair play kicks in on the 2014/15 season. Its clear they want to enjoy their $$$$ freely while they can.

    Not a chance.
At the end of the day City can afford it but that dosent mean Ronaldo wants to go there. He wants to win and City have barely proven anything yet.
Plus I dont believe for a second that Real WANT to sell him, if they are serious about La Liga and CL next season they cannot sell their best player when there is no one who could be brought in of his calibre to replace him.

Madrid always pay the highest price for players, and with him breaking the goal record thisseason showing he is value for money... there is no way in hell he is leaving.

His favorite colour is white anyways so that's a lock that he stays lol.

All players in Spain have release clauses in their contracts, so if a team decides to pay Ronaldo's release clause Real has nothing to say about it.

Having said that I don't believe for a minute he will leave Real for the likes of Man City.

I dont want to hijack the thread, but if you think those numbers are wrong for a bunch of reasons, well i would like to hear what you think about Maradona being paid 34.5 million for a 2 year contract in Al Wasl. Makes me sick to the stomach.

They pay Maradona that much because he brings more than 10x the market value to the club. They could care less about his coaching abilities.

Saudis don't care about our sport, they just care about the money it brings.

I thought about that too, but i dont know how big the market is there. Seriously, i dont see him bringing that much to the club. I dont feel there is a demand for jerseys (at leats to make it worth) or other clubs interested in paying big bucks to play against Maradona´s squad. They will get more TV coverage, thats for sure. Its the freaking emirates. Those guys can wipe their butts with 17mm though, it looks more like a fetish than a business decision.

lol 0.001% chance of this happening. i think once you get 100 million in the bank money doesnt matter anymore. Look at it this way. If he theoretically had 100 mil in the bank and spent 10k a day everyday it would take him 24 years to spend it.

well as a utd supporter it hurts me to say that probably next season man city will challenge for the title as well as the other major honours. But no way real madrid will sell him, hes the only reason they finished where they are this season.

Just looked it up and you are right!

I just assumed it was 150 mln, since it was what they offered and it was such an outrageous amount already

    I know my boys buddy!

It was Florentino the one who decided that 1000 million euros clause!

And in fact I red it fiest time at Marca I think!
And he commented I want Ronaldo here for 6 years and that's the reason to have that clause cause I know the Arab Sheiks will want Ronaldo for their team

    Florentino was damn right

Ozil has a 250 millions clause

    1000 million

But obviously they don't want to sell, hence the fee.

1000 million lol. Basically just means he is not for sale. May as well make it a billion lol.

Nobody in their right mind would pay 1000 million and if by some miracle they did it's an obvious sale haha, then use the money to buy all the barca team at twice their value lol.

This is just city playing who's got the biggest dick, not a chance he'd go to them even if Madrid did decide to take the cash.

The sheikh of Brunei has just popped out the €1 billion to buy Ronaldo. He said he is tired of all the women in his harem and now want Ronaldo as his personal lover. Ronaldo will receive minimum salary (€2 million in Brunei), but will have special performance bonuses. Ronaldo said he is "thrilled" to go and explore new opportunities.

Just because his release clause is that high, doesnt mean Madrid would turn down an offer that is a fraction of the price

    I know :-)

But if Madrid put that clause is cause they want him on the team for long. I think Madrid would think about selling him just if CIty offered at least 250 M! Which wont happen, unless if the SHeik will go nuts!
