The fact that he loves Nova (+8) makes me love Louisville (-3) so much more than before seeing that.

    thanks for the picks.

The question is ... does it really matter if you were the first capper to eclipse 100 units? Get that shit off your page Ferringo

"I still became the first capper in the country to ECLIPSE THE CENTURY MARK - +100 UNITS - IN LESS THAN ONE MONTH OF COLLEGE BASKETBALL HANDICAPPING!!! "

Means when hes hot hes hot... I stopped tailing him for a while now, but I still track his plays to see how hes doing. But dont jump on the guy for advertising...

Thought he went 2-2, Losing the 1 unit and a half unit, and winning two half units. Then his 1 unit Parlay hit. and lost the other parlay, not 100% sure on this and too lazy to deal with ESPN.com right now...

This guy is a HUGE liar. At first I thought he was cool, but Ferringo is just a huge scam artist. UNCForever was at +100 WAY before Ferringo. I even pointed it out to him a handful of times in his thread. Once again, RF has a losing night. He is horrible.

is he a paid capper? and he did it within 30 days?

Yes...as far as the Month thing. He was over 100 within a few weeks. He's not a paid capper, but I don't see where Ferringo says "Paid Capper". He just said handicapper. I pointed out UNCForever LONG ago in RF's posts. Not trying to argue with you, collecting. You're a cool cat.

Awh naw man, not taking it as a argument, was just asking. Only thing that I could say and compare (and dont take this that im on anyones side, such as ferringo or joe schmoe) is we've all been hot picking our own picks, but what seperates us and them is we still have that job we still do, and the other guys are doing this for their job and make a living at it... Ferringo might be a 'scam' or whatever you wanna lable him as, but hes been tracked and recorded and hits + units, WHILE i dont think they're fully accurate because juice isnt taken into account, hes still + overall on most accounts, AND he did make me alot of green when he was hot with his +100 units in a month run...

Ive been on covers, ive seen a few of the guys, Nine and UNC, they're good, and they're leading some of the contests there, but they're still in the 'amateur' bracket if you will since they're not making $ or very much $ from doing it...(Atleast to my knowledge) Just my two cents.

Collecting, I was a tout for years on numerous sites, including vegasinsider. The tout game is a joke. It's all marketing, skewing numbers, getting left behind if you have a bad week etc. I did not like the way that crap went down. Now I just bet my own plays. If I had a nice bank roll to start with, I'd be living in Vegas and be a professional bettor or get my own nice site and start touting on my own terms. Unfortunately I've had serious health issues since age 12 and my 'roll' is in the pockets of insurance companies and doctors, so I have to wager pretty low. I have managed to buy a car with my winnings and can sometimes pay my rent, but I don't have a big stack to work with. Point is, touts are scammers and people that can market themselves. The only reason Ferringo was on this site was to build clientelle and then to save face once he hit his losing streak and kept saying "Time to get down to business and get back on track!"....which = "Keep buying my picks and pay attention to me." in the tout world. Now he makes false claims when an 'amateur' is beating him down, along with every tout posted here. The guys I talk about have been offered many tout positions but they are truly in it to win people money. And you know what? They actually bet their plays! The touts posted here don't bet 99% of their plays, if any at all.

I don't think Ferringo was lying by saying he was the first capper to hit +100 units. I don't think he has time to cap games and look for every amateur capper in the world to see if they are doing better. I know you say you brought UNC Forever to his attention, but c'mon, it's pretty obvious RF is comparing himself with other touts, not just dudes that post free picks on a forum. Ferringo also stated that he stalls this time of the season. He said he's money for the first two months, then stalls, then picks back up in tourney time. At least he's honest.

I told you guys over a week ago that this approach is not designed to make money for clients and certainly isn't +EV. A couple argued based on units. In the beginning of the season, you can throw out more plays b/c the lines aren't nearly as sharp and you have a better chance of being correct. Now, you're seeing many more losers b/c you can't simply guess, you actually need to have a handicapping process and not just pick and hope.

You have to follow him for a full season to know for sure. You can't just jump on board halfway through and say he's a loser. I subscribed to his MLB for a full season last year, and he does finish with huge profits but if you weren't there from the beginning, and/or didn't follow the unit structure, you wouldn't have won.

people will never learn. fly on airplanes for a lifetime never have a problem, fly on one that goes down you die. if you don't know how to look at this game from a long term perspective you have zero chance; none, zip, zero ever.

Just a comment about Ferringo and UNC forever.
top pick with Ferringo is 8 units GOY usually between 0.5 and 4
top pick with UNC forever is 30 units. Smallest is 2.5
BUT, Ferringo has been not so hot in conference play. two years ago he lost 84 units between January and the end of the season.

That's absurd. You keep bringing up the "points" UNC has racked up so far.

While no doubt he seems to be a good capper, his points system, as julio_cat pointed out, is skewed.

I haven't seen UNC's full list of plays but from what I've seen so far in this forum, it seems 10units is his "normal" play. In Ferringo's case, I'd say about 2.5units is his "normal/average" play.

Again, let me reiterate I have nothing against UNC. It could very well be that, all things evened out, he IS ahead of Ferringo. But judging his performance based on the "units" earned so far is simply out of context.

Completely true, If you figure that UNC's 10 units are average and Ferringos 2.5 are average. UNC would need to be at 400 units in that first month to compete with Ferringo. It would be like saying Lang's a god for being up the 300 dimes he is. You forget he plays 100/75 dimers around once a week.
