I like the Rhode Island game. Home team giving points to a ranked team. Anyone know what the stats are on this system? I'm sure someone has it. Cashed in on SDSU last week in the same situation.

And to answer your question, since some dont seem to know the answer, cough cough.....

A steam play is a game that gets heavy action placed on it at a number of books accross the board all at the same time. Usually from syndicates.

A smart money play is similar but may only be a few wiseguys that were spotted making a large bets on a game. Maybe only one, at one book.

System plays are usually a cappers personal pick that fits a system due to certain angles looking good. Like ATS records, Trends, etc....

    Hope this helps.

This is close to what my understanding is.

Steam plays are indeed when the number on a given game begins to move rapidly across all sites, the value of the "steam" is to be on top of the movement and hit a book that has yet to move the number.

Smart plays, are when even though a very high percentage of action is coming in on one side(it's a concensus play), the line moves conversly. This is a strong indication that "smart money", or someone with a lot of infuence on the market is playing strong against the consensus. I personally had a lot of success on ncaa-f smart plays this season.

Exactly! Reverse line moves are a huge indicator of Smart Money.
