Personally, I think you guys are not being fair to RF. The guy is old school - posts the games he likes with no bulls__t. I remember about a month ago when he was on fire everyone here was asking for his plays. Now you are knocking him because he is not moving lines like RAS. Pretty fickle bunch here.

Hey RF, i asked in the 1/4/10 posting why you played the MSU teaser. When teased down it went to a PK, tell me why you had your clients on this game. I know you don't put anything out there that isn't of value to your clients, but this had no value. No point to tease to a pk. You already had the 3U on the game, that insurance you bought with the tease was in my opinion just not being confident with the play. I'm a client of yours and respect what you do for my back pocket but don't go against basic 101 gambling. I didn't play any of those MSU teasers. Thanks in advance for any clarification.

[COLOR=#000000 !important]Youngfan, about 99 percent of the time you don't want to tease through 0.0. So with a team at -1, it's kind of a poor value play to tease through the 0.0. Because you take a team at +2.5 or +3.5 because you think that they are going to win, not because you think the points are going to hold up. Such a small percentage of games are decided by three points or less that those points - the teased points at +2 or +3 or +4 - aren't as valuable to me as some other teasers.

Like that Wright State game, OK. That line is -8 or -8.5. Being able to tease that down to -3 or -3.5 makes it a COMPLETELY different bet. At -3 the game can be kind of a nip-tuck, back-and-forth kind of game and you can win by making free throws and having your side win. I like doing that with road favorites - tease them down - because just in case some crappy home dog starts knocking down 3's you can still get some cash on your side when they just "escape" with a win. It didn't matter in that Wright game today, but that's the idea on my end.

A lot of times I will tease my top games as kind of a hedge against bad beats. That Gonzaga game was a perfect example. We had that game. Now all of a sudden Illinois makes a crazy comeback and we look like we're going to lose. Well, having 3 points in those last few minutes were nice, but we could have lost that bet. But losing that teaser part wasn't going to happen.[/COLOR]
