Yeah. He just trying to prevent posting I guess. My bud gives me all of VR's picks right as he gets them. The game is probably and NBA or Wic/Miami play. So that means we should be getting the play between 6:30-6:45 eastern. I will post as soon as I get it.

On the Bookie Bets its more that the slicks sometimes bet one side early (eg they might take -5 with the odds -5/+5), then bet the other side late after the line has moved (eg +7 with the odds -7/+7) thus guarenteeing at least one bet wins, but with the possibility that both might win.

Therefore Bookie Bill doesnt confirm the slick bets until he's certain the above scenario is not taking place and that the slicks are genuinely on one side of the action.

True, but normally he says the slick got the game at (-5 or -6). If he knows what the pick is going to be right now...and is advertising it...i highly doubt VR will take it off his card if things change. VR loves $$$$ But maybe I'm wrong.

On the other side of that Temple game. I hesitate to say as much, since every single time I post a play before it starts I lose. So that bodes well for you. Still, after watching the runner-up MAC champion get dominated by a 6-6 Marshall team whose coach just got fired, I was reminded of the fact that every single team from the MAC lost SU in the bowl games last year, and I'm almost certain they had negative perfection ATS as well.

After following BB all season, I highly doubt we need to wait for this to be relseased. He wouldn't lay -3.5 or -4 and call it a slick bet. I'm going to go ahead and grab the +4 while its still available on Wisc.

    Why so sure it's football?

    From the man himself:
One of em slicks done hit us with a big bet for tonight. Gonna make sure nobody comes on the other side cause the books gonna need it to win 4 minutes ago from web

    If it's football...it's definitely Wisconsin...if it's NBA..it might be the Lakers O. who knows

if VR posts that its a slick bet....why would he wait on bookie bill any longer? doesnt that mean he already has the info?!?!? if he doesnt have the info then why would he post a bookie play. and if he does have the info he has the play to post already and there is no need to wait.....do u think this is because he says he got it at X and then if it goes up just posts where he got it. on the other hand if the line goes down he takes the current lower line?!?!

im confused cause it wouldnt be a bookie bet without bookie bill givin him info.....so shouldnt he be able to post it now?!? can anyone help with this? thanks!

Most often one of Bills "slicks" gives him a heads up that he'll be coming in with a "big play". So BB will say "I've got a big one coming in tonight... when it does I'll let ya'll know, Be good". And then when the play is made he'll give it out. So maybe that's the case now.

Yes, of course he has the info from Bookie Bill. When Bookie Bill used to release the slick bets himself via his twitter page he also used to wait til about 30 mins before the game started. See my reply above as to the reason why.

so someone who is gonna bet with bookie bill -- gives him a heads up?!?! he doesnt take the number...he waits it out?? and then what if he changes his mind..VR wont share the play?!?! does the slick also tell bookie bill that it will be AFTER 6:30 so tahts why vr knows it wont be the early football game?!?! haha

i see...so he already has the action on one sid ewith the slicks...public on the other side...and he is waiting for a buy back to middle from the slicks---and if they dont..then thats the side he shares with VR? and what if they do---will VR refund all the money from people who paid for his bookie bet?!?! haha i dont think so....while i understand what u are saying....its odd that VR would let people buy a 'bookie bet' that he doesnt or may not have for sure---right!?!

Yeah, its kind of a strange set-up. But there are reasons why its ended up like this. We're lucky to get the slick bets at all, so i wouldnt complain too loudly!

pencey - not so sure what your problem is but I've followed BB for a long time now and I'm sharing my experience. And YES BB has absolutely said that he's had a play in the past and then came back and said that the play wasn't made so now it's not a play.

I don't think that he ever gives a specific time but anyone who has followed Bill can tell you that his "Slicks" give him a heads up when they are going to come in big. So stop being a jerk.

One thing...VR isn't selling the Slick Bet by itself.... it will be included in a package. So if people buy the package, they are still getting VR's picks. Sometimes VR sells just the slick bet, but not tonight. Let's just win some money and be happy.

He does in fact sell them separately and has it all set up that if the BB bet doesn't come through he refunds the $. You can check it all out on his site.

What a Jack A. I was at the site a few minutes ago (maybe an hour) and he wasn't selling the pick. Maybe I shouldn't post.

i want to be clear....i havnet followed bookie bill long but know he is solid and may follow tonight....i just dont like to blindly follow and "just because" isnt a good reason for me...so i was curious and was looking for some answers cause it sounds 'off' to me a lil....i dont mean to take anything away from bookie bill or VR at all....im sure they are both solid at what they do....just lookin for some answers is all.
