Using touts off the forums is like walking through a mine field.

I use the forums for 2 things.

#1 Look for those Game of the Years and Game of the Month's and fade them. They lose way more then they win.

#2 If I see a tout is doing well I will check to see if the tout's plays matches their tracked results. If the tout is not tracked then just don't even bother. If a tout is tracked and is doing well then buy their package for a week or a month or get into a buy group if you can and get their picks legitimately for a period of time. Then you can ride that tout until they start to suck. Which will certainly happen given time.

Mxth, stick with whoever you follow for awhile. Don't jump ship so soon because you will miss the highs. By the time you jump on a hot capper he's probably due for a downturn so you hit his cold streak. You got to have a little patience if you plan on gambling the rest of your life. Otherwise, you will drive yourself crazy. I learned this lesson the hard way along time ago. I don't know how long you have been doing this, but I doubt many of us gamblers were successful from the get-go.

This services section straight up ****ing blows.. I've lost more $ then I can count just tailing these ****ing losers and the truth is NONE of them can win worth a damn... I cant believe people actually buy picks off these ****s.. just straight up frauds. I'm capping my own games from now on, I have more success that way and I did in the past...

Jim Feist became a millionaire in the 80's with the 800 telephone lines and marketed himself into millions. He was the first huge industry success and here 25 years later he is wealthier then any of us can ever dream of and is a 50-50 handicapper at best.

MEMO TO ALL...these guys are just marketers nothing more. This is the reason i have always believed and paid to follow Malinsky. He does all his own capping, all his own numbers. I am sure you are all aware he was one of the first 4 people that was hired to the islands to make the lines for the big offshore houses. The best thing about him is he doesnt market, he doesnt call you on the phone, he handicaps games, is heard all over north america on the internet and sports talk radio. He admits when he loses, never hides the fact.

This is why i follow and pay only one, all these other guys are marketing experts. Few even know who is playing who, they have young apprentice kids that do the work and the write ups.

I have tried now to help everyone the past 6 months understand this business and how it works. It takes a ton of work. Find a capper that you can trust, listen to why he makes a play, dont judge the capper solely by wins and losses, look into the box score see if what the capper wrote is what happened, understand why the game was played, why it won or lost.

This business requires a bankroll and you must be able to tolerate a bad streak, you need to know how to win and how to lose. But most of all find one guy, find his weakness and strengths, but understand the process and understand this is a long term investment no different then the stock market. You can win with your guy going up and when he is going down.

To randomly bet some marketers opinion with no reason is sure doom.

Many that dont understand the game/business hate me for what i say in these forums, so be it. Those that understand and are in this to make a profit long term know this all to be so true.

Find a capper you can trust like I have, work to understand all and you can profit.

There weaknesses are they don't document everything say like RAS might do. They just post "runs". I have to do that on my own but that keeps me on my toes. They seem to do heavy promoting on their site too which might turn some people off but they back it up and have been around for 20+ years. I do not buy there picks because I can find them posted for free without much line movement at all.

Not official, but I would say they hit close to 55% on anything lower than 300% and about 65% on their higher % ratings. There % ratings that they post are legit and can be trusted.

Yeah my record keeping and organizing could defintely be better. I really need to fine tune it. My weakness is I don't filter out the plays. I think I'm pretty good at picking some games on my own but when it contradicts a service I follow like RAS or Executive I don't take mine. More times than not it works in my favor because these guys know what they are doing more than me but I still need to be objective.

I see alot of people have the same problem asme, maybe not as bad of a bankroll when it comes to losing and betting recklessly, but I still recommend everyone who just follows the touts in the service section switch over to the NCAA Basketball OR NBA Basketball section wherr you will have so much more success.. You see people with their threads titled with their plays and they win nearly everytime, doesn't even seem to matter who the users are.. The touts are just plain garbage.. All the marketing they do is just to lure people in and scam them out of their money.. I particularly like their "Pay after you win" policy... HAHA WHat a joke... Pay them after you win, as in that the handicapper has everything to gain and nothin to lose.. They basically are releasing plays hoping they hit so they can get paid by the people who bought them... and if their plays dont hit, they arent losing a god damn muthafukkin dime of their OWN money

Tell me about it. I'm pretty much done until next year when I can reload my bankroll. Today was highlighted by a 0-9 day -25 units, including his 5* BOMB on Cal.

Biggest problem is that I actually paid for his picks. I signed up right after he had a great month (+100 units) and he had a pretty good track record of winning consistently prior to that month, but since then he has been absolute Lost 42% of my bankroll since I've signed up, plus the money that spent to sign up.

Makes me wonder if one can actually be a sports investor and win long term.

Its a tough business.. the guy i follow hits a higher % on his lower rated games then his larger plays....though lately the larger plays have been red hot and its been a great run. my guy is horrible in totals sub 50% for 6 years so i dont play them unless i feel the edges are correct. Learn to know your cappers tendencies what they are good at and what they are bad at.

No one wins all the time, find your comfort level, set your bankroll and i always try and use this to hit people in the face.

Lets say your bank roll is 1000.00 if you put that 1k in the bank right now you would earn what .025% on your money or 25 dollars profit so your bankroll would grow with that investment over time to 1025 dollars.

Now use the Black jack money management theory when betting sports... when you win 20% profit on your bankroll you are supposed to walk away from the table and start your new bankroll with that additional amount. so 20% profit on 1k is 200 bucks.... so putting that into perspective.....1025 or 1200

a 20% growth to your bankroll you would take every day of the week meaning 200 on every 1k....

again just trying to help everyone realize what a fine line it is to winning and losing...

The whole point of a thread like this is to use it and fade the cappers because we all know how much they suck. Ther are a select few that are okay but all the big names like Lang are excellent fades. So keep posting the plays and just learn which ones suck and fade every game of the year release
