True Eric, I don't disagree with your assesment of Parsons. I also love the over in this game but took the under because I trust Parsons awhole hell of alot more then I trust myself.. I really hope this shit hits though because I'm down a tremendous amount from a loss on Pittsburgh and KC today... I really need this game otherwise I'm pretty much fukked bankroll wise... Minnesota has been pure $$ on the over all season but theres got to be a time where the under is gonna hit and I think it may be tonight...I would have liked a writeup prior to taking this pick but its alright

Southern Miss head coach Larry Fedora has done a great job in his two years in Hattiesburg. Fedora has taken the Golden Eagles back to the New Orleans bowl after beating Troy last year 30-27 in this same game. Fedora has some excellent offensive schemes, and his offense was tough to stop as they averaged 33 points and 420 yards of offense per game. And their offense will prove to be a tough challenge for a Sun Belt team that faced a weak slate of offenses all season long.

Middle Tennessee St’s defense has good seasonal numbers (23 ppg on 352 ypg), but they’ve only played one offense that is on the same level of Southern Miss. That was Clemson and they allowed 37 points in that game. When stepping-up in class, MTSU’s defense allowed 34 points and 408 yards per game on 5.6 yards per play. Their rushing defense was terrible in those games as they allowed 233 yards on 4.9 yards per carry per game, and that is not a good sign for them in this game.

Southern Miss’ running game is outstanding as they average almost 200 yards per game on 4.8 yards per rush. And that strength will be running on the vulnerable defensive line of MTSU that simply will not be able to stop the running game here. Damion Fletcher and Tory Harrison should churn out big yardage all game long, especially knowing that MTSU has allowed at least 150 yards on the ground in five games this year.

The Golden Eagles also have a big defensive edge in this game because they played the much better offensive units throughout the season. And they only allowed 25 points per game on 388 yards of offense per game against a tough slate of opposing offenses. There’s no question that they are taking a big step down in class here, and their defense should limit a one-dimensional MTSU offense that cannot throw the football with any type of consistency.

I'm not even gonna watch the game between Car/Minnesota.. I turn on the channel and the score is gonna be like 14-7 after the 1st quarter, I know it... I hate picking UNDERS and watching fukkers run up the damn score.. same thing in NBA.. then when I pick OVERS its like nobody can score worth a damn.. What I do know for a fact is the overs hit a whole hell of alot more then the unders so this game is definitly a huge risk.. and one Im taking

The problem is Favre is such a good QB, he's capable of throwing deep balls and having Minny score in bunches. He did it when he was with Green Bay to. Any time he finds that rythm, this game can change drastically

Yeah thats not looking good now.. I suspect we'll see at least 1 more TD before halftime.. If we can go into the half at that score I'm content with that... but if theres another TD before half, thats gonna be a problem
