Bad play? I'd rather trust Teddy COvers than you. Especially since you dont explain why you think it is a bad play.

    Explain or shut up.

wow you have been registered for a whole.............11 days before me congrats and you have 516 posts!!??... im sure alot of those were great inspiring words of wisdom that had people running to the ticket window with their mouths watering! comments like "bad play" dont be negative on a play when you actually have no real input or knowledge of at all! thatsthe point im trying to make.

Not my fight but I would think the average person would also have to wonder why you want to play the Over in a game involving the two lowest scoring teams in the league? Especially when they scored 147 points when they played last month?

However, Devin Harris is playing again and the Nets have a new coach so maybe Mr. Covers has a reason to believe that they will try to change the tempo and that Harris' presence could results in a higher scoring game. But Charlotte still likes to play low scoring games so it might be tough to make it into the 90's for either team.

But it definitely is going against the grain to pick the over.

Ted Sevransky is one of the most respected handicappers in this town. Before anyone bashes his picks, please explain why you feel that way.

For the record, I side with his pick. The bobcats have been scoring the ball better lately, averaging around 99 points a game in their past 5. NJ game totals have been averaging 195 a game for the past 6 since Devin Harris came back into the lineup. 5 out of the 6 would have surpassed this total.

    IamTheBoss500 = worthless
Teddy Covers = Top notch handicapper

Don't even respond to that IamTheBoss5000 clown. A clueless waste of forum space. I wish you could block a user's posts. Just goes around posting "bad play" or "so and so is no good" with absolutely no insight other than his worthless opinion. Be sure you can count on the poor little guy coming in here and posting "i told yah so" if this play doesn't come in.

I'm a Teddy follower, used to trail him continiously until he went into a serious tail spin, in 2 football weekends he was something like 5-17

I don't put that in "best handicapper" category

lol are you seriously taking a 22 play sample and basing his abilities on that? you must be new to this

how about checking out his lifetime record.. he had the highest winrate in the nfl last year amongst tracked cappers

    Lol @ CheeseWiz... Not really

Amazing, I make a 2 word post and I get flooded with your b.s?.. This is the internet dumbfuk, a place where people can and do make opinions. You turn this into such a big thing, what a life you got there buddy lol

I'm done opening this thread regardless.. As I know Teddy Covers is an extremely good handicapper. I've tailed him many times. Disagree with his play tonight. It may win or it may lose, but I don't agree with it..You got a problem with my opinion, then go fuk yourself cheesewiz.. i aint got time nor interest in giving you the attention your seeking.. acting like a lil net thug, like I said .... what a life you got there buddy

And to anybody else whos thinking im bashing Teddy Covers, you know where I stand.. One thing I can't stand though is little children prowling through these forums looking to pick fights and start drama every which way they can.

I said 'bad play' because I'm aware both the Nets and Bobcats are very low scoring teams. I don't exactly have a stat sheet in front of me right now but I'm not gonna write an essay on something so stupid, I just feel this is a game where the under is more probable, but I'm not gonna sit here and say that's definitly the case because it may very well go over the total.. It's mere opinion, and if dumbasses like Cheesewiz don't like it, then thats his problem. I'm not gonna argue back and forth on a services section part of this forum because some attention whore wants a reaction.

Your post pretty much rationalizes what I meant when i made my first post regarding this game.. It truly amazes me how I got some no lifer like Cheesewiz try and turn it into some huge deal as if I'm trying to bash a great handicapper like Teddy.

No, I check his plays almost dailey, and he's human just like everybody else.

Excuse me but when I see a 20* Blue ball special or whatever he calls it, I'd assume it should be better then the KC Chiefs getting smacked all over the field, once again.

I will say his picks are transparent, the website he's associated with offers a "recap" page, so its easy to track his record, and he's far from phenominal these days
Check his Sat/Sun plays over the past 4-6 weeks, its NOT impressive. And unless you have an unlimited bankroll it doesnt take many "bad" weekends to be be broke

Plus the funny part of this thread is...I rarely see "write-ups" from Teddy

New Jersey is scoring around 87 ppg while giving up around 98 ppg
Charlotte is score around 88 ppg while giving up around 89 ppg

Lines are set so you have a 50% chance of winning...

It is the lack of the write-ups that bother me.

I'm only speaking for me but I try to do my own handicapping but then factor in some piece of information that I might have missed to pick the best games to wager on that day. In order to do that, I - and I'm just speaking for me - need something more than a 20* special attached to a game to make it a good bet.

If you hang around long enough everyone one of the handicappers listed on this page will go through some unbelievable winning streaks and some unbelievable losing streaks. Unfortunately, yesterday's success has almost nothing to do with today.

That is why you need to read, read and read some more and make up your own mind.

I'll make a blind play on Teddy Covers the day that he sends me the money to make that play. Until then, give me some information to work with.

PS Having said all of that there probably are some reasons to look at the Nets game tonight. Read the NY Post or Daily News today and you'll read about changing the losing attitude and "trying to speed up the tempo" of the game. Given that, you have to expect the Nets to come out all jacked-up tonight and try to get the crowd energized, etc. However, Larry Brown knows that too and me might try to slow the game down to counter that.

That is what makes this hobby so much fun.........

PS If you're looking for an over in the NBA tonight, I think I would look more at the Tor/WA game or the NY/Atl game. Toronto is a horrible defensive team and Atlanta wants to push the ball.

Relax and have fun guys. It's only a game....

Mtek you have no idea what your talking about, a lot of handicappers don't want people posting their write-ups, if you payed for his picks, you will get a write up.

2 wins since thanksgiving? yeah OK....

Who said he was superhuman?? I simply said using a 22 game sample size rather than looking at his overall record is just silly. With you beng such a wiley vet I am suprised you wouldn't aggree.. his 2008 winrate was 65% in the NFL, #1 amongst any tracked capper. Is that not up to your standards? If you are stuck on using microscopic samples.. how about him going 20-7 with his 20* big plays over the last 2 years?

But you make a great point.. he is not super human, and he does lose some plays (I've been taking notes). Oh, and if you are claiming to be a paying client that doesn't recieve write-ups, how about you check out his daily radio show where he breaks down the whole week .

Teddy Covers is one of the "good guys" when it comes to touts... His radio shows are awesome. He never claims a lock, game of the year..etc... He has passed on a lot of the Monday night games this year...what tout would ever do that ??????? He gives honest lines ..unlike Lang, Fiener, Redd, Valentino etc.... Does he win all the time? of course not...but for you who have an opinion on such a small sample size....you must not have good money management. I gamble for a long term profit!

Teddy is alright but don't say he doesn't have GOY's. He labeled one last night in his writeup- "PICK: Western Kentucky EXPERT: Ted Sevransky TITLE: Big Ticket: Thursday Night Game of the Year".
His big tickets are just another name for locks IMO. They all have them. Teddy is having an off year but is usually a decent capper. I do know he is 20-7 in NFL big tickets but has lost 4 in a row.
