    Default Doc's NBA 12/3

    Got this at 5Dimes for 209.5 - act quickly!

    3-Unit Play #705 Take Miami/Denver UNDER 209 (10:30 p.m. EST, Thursday)
    The Nuggets have been scoring a lot lately but their last four games (including two against Minnesota) have all been against weak defenses. The Heat, however, are no defensive slouches as they are ranked No. 9 in defensive PPG and No. 5 in defensive field goal percentage. We just think this number is a bit overinflated. This one is much higher than both of the Nuggets totals against Minnesota and nearly as high as their total against the Knicks. Neither of those teams is near the same defensive level as Miami. Both teams had last night off and that should increase the defensive intensity on a National TV game. Miami doesn’t have an explosive offense so they will have to rely on defense to keep this close. These teams met last month in Miami and the Heat held the Nuggets to 88 points so we know they match up well defensively. The total of that game came in at 184. We expect more to be scored here on Denver’s home floor but we just think this line is a few too high.

    Here is the current write up on their current season - sliding previous two days, but last night was a solid night.

    Three straight profitable NBA seasons and we picked up a total of +334 units with $100 bettors earning more than $18K during the last three years. We have been better each season and in 2008-09 $100 bettors earned back more than 10 times their initial investment (+163 units, $10,380 in profit) and we are expecting our best season ever for 2009-10. Early Bird Special is only $699 and that will get you all of our picks through the NBA Finals in June. The price will go up to $899 on Dec. 7 (Monday). Had a real bad week but bounce back big with a 5-0 night on Wednesday - this was one of the biggest cards we had all season because we loved the slate and most of the wins were easy. Now +25 units on the season and $100 bettors up $1,350. One pick for Thursday and 5-Unit Game of the Week highlights Friday's card.

    Doh!!! Lost by the hook. I was scared this was going to happen when I saw the line at 211 right before tipoff. My only complaint with Doc is that he doesn't put in his write-ups where he thinks the line is going to go and to either wait or get your bet in as soon as possible. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!
