Game: Northern Illinois at Central Michigan (Friday 11/27 1:00 PM Eastern)
    Pick: Northern Illinois +13 (-110)

Central Michigan has locked up the MAC West at 7-0 and will be likely playing 7-0 Temple for the MAC Title. The Huskies have had a good year at 7-4, and an eighth win could be enticing to Bowl Committees, especially knocking off a tough Chippewas team. The Chips have an impressive home resume at 4-0 and winning by an average of 37.8 points per game. That has inflated this line, but it is a bit misleading. The Chips played non-FBS Alcorn State and three of the worst MAC teams at home that have combined for a 7-26 record. The Huskies are well versed on the road with no loss larger than 8 points and that includes a pair of trips into the Big-10. The Huskies boast an 8-3 ATS mark in their last 11 as a dog and I think they have some bite. The Huskies are 16-6 ATS in their last 22 as a dog of 10-20 points. They are also 14-4 ATS in their last 18 following back-to-back ATS losses. I like Northern Illinois with the generous points.

AQUEDUCT Race #4 at 1:50 PM Eastern
Top pick: #7 (MAY DAY NOW) - Gelding is two-for-two at this $15K tag and, including a win last out at this distance on this surface. Dominguez climbs aboard and if this runner brings his "A" game they're all in trouble.
2nd pick: #6 (Captain Sword) - Has the ability to win this, but he's always a "risky" propopsition as he's broken poorly in five of his last seven starts, but hasn't in his last pair (and he won one of those).
3rd pick: #8 (Her Latest Flame) - Longshot draws a good post for the distance and is (5-1-1-0) at it. Gelding by "Gold Token" has caught slop and mud in his last pair and runs first time out for Bruce Brown (a 22% winning angle.
4th pick: #3 (Four Star General) - Colt takes a sizeable drop in his third start back from a seven-week break during the latter part of the summer. Has some speed and one of his two wins came at this seven-furlong trip.

Game: Arizona State vs. L S U (2:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total OVER 127.5 -105

ASU and LSU square off in the consolation game in the NIT Season Tip-Off in New York. The Sun Devils disposed of four weak opponents to open the season and then ran into Duke last game, falling by 11 points and scoring only 53 points. LSU had a similar experience. They opened with three straight double-digit victories and then had to face UCONN. The Tigers scored just 55 in a 26-point defeat. This line is an overreaction to the bad games put forth by both clubs last game. LSU shot 36.5% from the field and that won't happen again here. Arizona shot 38% - same comment. Neither of these teams has the defense of Duke or Connecticut. These are both solid teams with good offenses and I like this one to go OVER the total.
