There used to be a time when you could always count on the Detroit Lions to play tough on thanksgiving day and wreak havoc on a lot of sports gamblers meals. I'm old enough to actually remember those days. Unless Aaron Rodgers throws 3 picks AND Ryan Grant put's the ball on the ground a couple of key times, Green Bay covers this number. Oh, and if Mason Crosby severely stubs his kicking toe in the shower thursday morning. The Rams went into Detroit and beat this team, the Cleveland Browns of all people had them on the ropes last week and it took a miracle for the Lions to pull it off. This Packer team is still in the serious hunt for a playoff berth and realize they cannot afford to overlook anyone. Packers depth at defense will be put to the test with the loss of Al Harris and Aaron Kampman but against the Lions I feel they can get by just fine.As you can tell, I hold this Detroit team in very low regard. Stranger things have happened but even at 11 points I feel the Packers are a value here. I would not be shocked at all if they prevail by 3 touchdowns. Take the Packers.
