3-Unit Play #701 Take Denver/Atlanta OVER 211 (7 p.m. EST, Saturday)
Both of these teams are averaging more than 100 on offense and giving up more than 100 on defense, and we always think that when teams like this meet up that the pace will be up-tempo and we thought this line was posted a bit too low. Denver has scored more than 110 points in three out of five games. Basically, whenever they faced all but Top-10 defenses. Atlanta is not a Top 10 defense and they won’t be when all is said and done on the season, either. The Hawks have also scored more than 110 in three of their six games. Three straight games in this series have gone over the posted number.
4-Unit Play #714 Take LA Clippers -4 Over Memphis (10:30 p.m. EST, Saturday)
We think this Clippers team is going to be decent this year and they finally flexed their muscle a bit in a 28-point road thrashing of Golden State. This team is definitely deeper and more talented than the Grizzlies and we have to say we were a bit surprised at how low this number was especially considering how good the Clippers looked last night while the Grizzlies pretty much got smacked around by the Lakers. This Clippers team is young and we think the confidence gained from the big win last night will carry over into tonight’s game. The Clippers have also dominated this series against the number, cashing in 8 of the last 11 meetings.
