2* bulls +4
1* No. Car +17
1* yanks -205
lillefty - 2* San Antonio spurs -2.5 over Chicago bulls.
This a game that is dropping fast so keep your eye on it. I will keep my # at 2.5 for record keeping purposes but you can probably get better if you monitor it. I don't see any reason why the # is falling like a rock . I looked for word that maybe Tony Parker wasn't playing or that rose was going to be full strength but nothing. So I will go full speed ahead with this pick.
The spurs are a deep team with the addition of Richard Jefferson to the mix. This is the 1st time they have spent well beyond the luxury cap to field their team. They know they are strong and this is the year to make a run and I am glad to see that they are going for it. It is too early in the season to worry about back to back game scenarios like last year with Duncan. With the blowout last night, the spurs rested their starters the whole 4Th quarter anyways.
The Bulls are learning to cope w/out Ben Gordon and even Vinny Del negro admitted that this year may not be the strongest of years for the Bulls as they prepare for the big free agent class next summer. W/out Gordon that much more of the offense will have to flow through Rose and he will be hampered by his ankle injury. He hasn't played in 3 weeks so his conditioning has to be off somewhat. I would be surprised if he went full minutes at full speed tonight.
The Spurs are a top tier Western conf team looking for a nice early win vs a good Eastern conf opponent and I think talent pulls them through this one comfortably.
1* Yankees/Phillies over 9 (+105). Just so you don't think I am pulling a fast one if you see 8.5 as my total tomorrow, I will say this now. I have to post this total now to get the game out and this is what the widely available total is as of 12pm east coast time. Make no mistake about it though I will be waiting as long as I can to see if I can get 8.5 by game time. If it is widely available by game time, then 8.5 is the # I will use to grade my play, otherwise it will be 9.
Burnett hasn't done that well vs the Phillies. since 2005 he is 3-4 w/6.30 era in 40 IP. There are going to be some hitters looking to swing now that CC isn't pitching. Burnett didn't look too good last time out as he appeared to be overthrowing. His pitches were straight as an arrow as he tried to throw his way out of jams rather than pitch. The main thing working against us are the possible quick hooks from the managers due to the pens being used very little last night. This is why I am going to wait for an 8.5 # if I can get it. It may never get there but it is worth waiting for.
Pedro looked awesome vs the Dodgers. There is a difference though between the passive, LA crowd and the Lynch mob mentality that the Yanks fans have when they think they can get inside someones head. I am sure you will hear the who's your daddy chants a few times(referencing Pedro's comments in 2005 about the Yanks having his # that year.) and with every hit he gives up the fans will revel in it. Does Pedro keep his head and rise to the occasion or will it get to him and have a sub par outing? I say the latter and this game reaches double digits by the 6th inning.
if randy posts a play I will put it here otherwise good luck to all tonight!!

randy wood - 1* Vancouver Canucks at Los Angeles Kings Spread -1 +129 for Game
The ML is only -140 for this game, so if you cant play the -1 Spread then I would play the ML and not the -1.5. Or make two plays and split your wager amount on the ML and the -1.5.
I look for the injury laden Canucks to struggle on the road and as long as the kings get the puck in the net we will have another win tonight. BOL to us!
