BCUZ SOME BOZO'S HOLLYWOOD WRITERS DECIDED LETS MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT SOMEONE WHO GAMBLES ON SPORTS. THEN THEY SAW THAT BRANDON LANG HAS BEEN SELLING HIS PICKS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. SO HE WAS THE NATURAL CHOICE FOR THEM. JUST SO YOU KNOW, THE MOVIE IS COMPLETELY DOCTORED. HE NEVER PLAYED FOOTBALL IN COLLEGE. THEY MAKE IT LOOK LIKE HE WOULD HAVE GONE PRO IF HIS KNEE INJURY DID NOT OCCUR. COMPELETELY FAKE MOVIE. THE ONLY THING THAT IS TRU, IS THAT LANG ACTUALLY DID GO ON A PRETTY GOOD STREAK DURING THE EARLY 90'S. IM NOT SURE WHAT PERCENTAGES HE RAN OFF, BUT I BELEIVE HE WAS PICKING ROUGHLY 70 PERCENT WINNERS. AN UNHEARD OF PERCENTAGE DURING THOSE EARLY 90'S. there used to be old clips of Stu's show from the early 90's on youtube with BL as one of the cappers.
If you watch the dvd extras in the 2 for the money movie, you can watch an interview with BL and the director or producer (he is Rene Russo's husband), BL caddied for him at some high class country club in LA, maybe vegas, anyway it's in the extras on the dvd.
