I saw that stupid movie...and the scam was that he never even played his own picks. Al pacino is in the movie and breaks it down how the whole tout industry is a scam. The reel in some billionare in the movie who bets $1 Million on each game and they get 10% off of his winnings. Funny thing is that Al pacino looks like Al Demarco in the movie.
