be careful with systems - somehow those 12-0 systems become 12-1 the very game you decide to jump on board

at least for me that happens a lot of the time...good luck

I agree...So far NFL preseason GOTY posted here has been 0-5-1. If it's college you're talking about, how can it be GOTY if this the 1st game.

Big Al is as good as anybody with his big plays, he's been around for years and always has his plays documented by the Sports Monitor. He's not like most Cappers where they are full of it. It's his Thursday Night Game of the Year, so it's not like you have a lot to choose from. Win or lose he will always post what he did on his site. Here's his bio and his ad for that pick.

BIG AL's 100% (12-0 ATS) THURSDAY NIGHT COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME OF THE YEAR!

ON FIRE! Al McMordie is CASHING 78% in NFL Football so far this season, and kicks on the College Football schedule Thursday Night with a MONSTER PLAY out of a 12-0 ATS System. It's Big Al's Thursday Night Game of the Year! Last season's Thursday Night GOY won BIG when Pitt upset South Fla., so don't miss this year's HUGE WINNER!
    Price: $20.00

Al McMordie is the most honored technical handicapper in the country.

In 2007, Big Al won the $100,000 World Series of Sports Handicapping, and also finished #1 in March Madness. In 2004, Al won the most prestigious handicapping contest in Las Vegas -- The Stardust Invitational. Overall, in the last 15 years, Big Al has garnered 34 NUMBER ONE awards in Football, Basketball, and Baseball; 135 Top 5 finishes; and 253 Top 10 finishes. Al is a featured handicapper both on National TV and Radio, as well as at the most prestigious gambling web sites. Additionally, in 2002, Big Al was featured in FHM Magazine.

In 2000, Al was 157-114 in football, including 10-0 (100%) in the NFL Playoffs. Al has won 13 of his 17 football seasons. Another highlight of Al's career came in 1997, when Big Al was ranked #1 by SPORTS WATCH in College Football/NFL Win Percentage and #1 in College Football Regular Season/Bowls by THE SPORTS MONITOR. Al has one of the best basketball records over the past 16 seasons (winning 13 of 16 thru 2008), and was ranked #1 in baseball for the 1996 and 2001 seasons. For consistency across all three sports, you can count on Al McMordie.

Indeed, the Las Vegas Sporting News recognized Al in its December 17,
1996 issue, and wrote that: "[Al's] honesty, integrity, [and] skills...are obvious....We have been impressed by [his] uncanny ability to pick big underdogs that win the game straight-up....We've seen handicappers come and go, and get hot and cold, but no one has been as consistent over time as McMordie, and we strongly urge you to consider him as your handicapper."

Besides being a champion handicapper, Al McMordie is a corporate attorney, earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan.

I just don't understand how can you cap a GOTY for the 1st game. Well maybe that's why I'm posting in threads instead of sending out emails to everybody. But in any case I would tread with caution.

I agree with you, but maybe he see's something that he really likes. He usually goes against the top ranked teams, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's Oregon maybe even Utah State. I wouldn't want to be on the other side on his top plays as they win a lot more then they lose.

Now I'm curious so I just might pay for it if I don't see it in the next 2 days.

Big Al is one of the very few touts worth following. He is a solid, honest capper, with some great systems.

Wood, I'm curious too. I'll pay for it if I hit this parlay tonite. Can't be playing for every tout who has a play.

I'll get it, I was planning on getting it anyway. It would be a good idea to lock it in, in case the line moves, I'll post it later. The reason I don't get his service is it's pretty steep at $300 a month with no guarantee if he has a losing month.

Haha, I know Big AL pretty well. Big Al is all about his statistics, revenge games, teams looking ahead, and teams coming off a big win.

At 10:15 pm, our Thursday Night Game of the Year is on the 16th-ranked Oregon Ducks plus the points over 14th-ranked Boise State, as Oregon falls into two revenge systems of mine that are 38-13 and 57-24 ATS since 1980. And our 57-24 ATS system is on a 12-0 ATS run since September 5, 2004! Last year, Boise went into Eugene as 10-point underdogs and upset the Ducks 37-32. But you know what they say about "paybacks!" In last year's game, Oregon was forced to use three quarterbacks due to injuries sustained against Boise State. That, however, shouldn't be a problem on Thursday. And, speaking of quarterbacks, Oregon has a great one, in junior Jeremiah Masoli, who fits new coach Chip Kelly's spread system perfectly. Indeed, Masoli might just be the best QB in the Pac-10. Also, no conference performs better as underdogs than the Pac-10, as its teams are a solid 188-135 as underdogs vs. non-conference foes since 1980, including an eye-popping 79-39 ATS when our Pac-10 team is NOT a losing team, and it's a competitive game where the pointspread is less than 7 points. Oregon, itself, is 23-12 ATS its last 35 as underdogs, including 9-1 ATS vs. non-conference foes. Take the points. Thursday Night Game of the Year on the Oregon Ducks. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. And don't miss my big winners on Saturday in College Football, or my NFL and Baseball Winners, as we're having a great season thus far (including 78% in the Preseason).

I had the same reaction, pee. Wayne Root use to always have some sort of Game of the Year the first week - just picking some random TV game for it or whatever. When it comes down to it, the tout world is mostly one of marketing picks and you have to get interest off the bat somehow.

    Gotwood -

Not starting a flame war on this matter, but you should always take Touts for what they're worth! I've met Big Al several years ago in Vegas. He's a super nice guy and really down-to-earth. You wouldn't believe the stats that he collects on his laptop where he uses certain programs, analysis, trends, & stats. I respect him for what he does. Does that mean I'll be hammering his plays? Hell no.

Each to his own, and we take the service plays by the touts for what they're worth. If you feel that it's the Game of your Life, then put your house on it! If not, then it's just another play.

Not sure what you're getting at? I've used his plays off and on for about 15 years, does this mean I'm gonna put everything on it, no way. But, I do know in any sport baseball, basketball, college and pro football, when he has a Game of the Year or Game of the Month, or Conference Game of the Year, or whatever, I wanna be on his side cause he wins them a lot more then he losses. Does this mean it's a lock and will win, I wish it was that easy.

That was my original point that kind of got lost, he's not like most capper's where they advertise a GOY every week. He's not the best Capper out there but you will make a profit, 64-51 in sides and 43-38 in totals in MLB. I usually just play his 4 & 5 stars plays, not sure what this is but if it's a GOY play it's atleast a 4 star.

Big Al is the only reason I even check the service play section. I cap my own games but respect his picks and yes he is a good guy unlike most of these clowns.

what's up with the Sports Monitor, the past dozen years they used to sell the plays of all the Cappers for like $500 a month and after most of the plays were turned in they would release their own plays but they didn't have that for Baseball. They also have a private member section where Joe Michaels and Gregg Allen would release their top plays.

Looks like all dogs for the 1st day of NCAAF. (betable games at least). This hurt my bankroll. Well not really, had a big weekend and yesterday, still up a little from this weekend after losing Utah, Troy, most likely Oregan. Would be nice to have a good a winning start of 1st day of football

cappers prob didn't want to pay the sports monitor their cut when they sold picks for them - now everyone has a website, so they just pay to get monitored, but then people just google the capper and find their website and buy the picks directly from the website - cheaper...

    imo
